My Husband and I stayed at the Davies Bed and Breakfast for the first time this year (2012), during the Lobster Carnival. We had an amazing time in Pictou and that was all thanks to Tom and Todd the owners. So welcoming from the time we got there. We stayed in the Harbour room which was very spacious and had... More

Stayed two nights at this B&B- had the harbourview Room with queen bed and pull-out couch. House was centally located and a short walk to downtown restaurants and attractions. Contrary to another recent posting here, Pictou is a town with interesting historic buildings, an arts centre, a market on the weekend, festivals, a walking trail, the tall ship Hector, and... More

I am not sure why you would want to go to Pictou, but if you do this would be the place to stay. The house is nicely restored with a good sense of history. In keepers Tom and Todd kept it in good, clean condition. Breakfast was nothing special, just a "continental." If en suite is important to you make... More

What an absolute treat! My wife and I stayed here this past weekend and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The moment we stepped in the door, we were bowled over by this B&B's stunning beauty. They have done an outstanding job preserving the historic beauty of this gorgeous stately home. Unlike many many other B&B's, where the layout of the original homes... More

My Husband and I took a trip to Nova Scotia this past June 2012. Luckily enough we happen to be passing through Pictou for the LobsterFest 10km run race. We arrived at the B & B and were beyond happy when we saw how beautifully decorated and well maintained the glorious Victorian style house was maintained and decorated. Tom and... More

My husband and I stayed with Todd & Tom in the summer of 2010. We LOVED this house. The house itself is spectacular. The rooms was lovely and clean. We ate in town with a friend and had an amazing dessert called Blueberry Grunt (WOW!!). When we got back to the house it was late'ish and Todd and Tom were... More

It was our third time visiting Nova Scotia and we stayed at the Davies House our first night. We enjoy staying in bed and breadfasts and particularily in the older period homes. The Davies House is the most interesting home we have stayed in. The house, built in 1855, has most of it's character intact, with original plaster borders, fireplaces,... More

The rooms are a fair size, not much of a gay bed and breakfast as I expected. The host was not very friendly and failed in comparison from our guesthouse expereince in Lunenburg. The bedroom we had was right next to the dining room.... little akward! Not much to do around in Pictou......I would recommend a drive-thru this little town... More

Hi Guys, As we are not quite sure just what you are expecting from a "gay" bed and breakfast you may need to clarify that type of comment before throwing that term around as we are a "gay" owned and operated establishment. We offer clean comfortable surroundings in our home and friendly service which was offered to you as you... More

We were three ladies from Ontario planning a very special trip for my sister to Nova Scotia and Cape Breton. In researching the internet for bed and breakfasts in Pictou, Nova Scotia I came across W H Davies B&B. The Victorian home with its period décor appealed to us and so did the ideal location looking over the harbour. I... More

Dear Girlie Girl On your first communication alone there is no mention of age or mobility issues of your sister. We had reserved a room for you in the Harbour View Suite and as is stated on our policy page that one night is paid up front to reserve the room. You settled into your room for the evening and arrived...
