We had a wonderful stay at the Evening Sail. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast scones and pancakes were fabulous and so was the company. Our suite was very comfy with every imaginable amenity. Hosts helpful about what to go see and do. Walking distance from the harbor was a special treat. A great town and this... More

First of all Michelle and her mom, Gayle, are great hosts and accommodating, wonderful cooks. The gluten free quiche was great, the white chocolate blueberry scones were amazing and there was much more spread out on the dining table! My room, the PEBBLE, was at the top of the skinny little stairs - an attic room and it was beautifully... More

We stayed in the Dory suite and enjoyed the privacy, ambiance and comfort of the rooms and convenience of location. We were there for just two nights but we thought one could easily stay there a week or two. Our hostess was our friend after twenty minutes. Extremely helpful in pointing out what was going on in town and places... More

Although the weather in Pictou was not great when we were there, our stay at Evening Sail was wonderful. Our room was delightful and we wish we could have used the attached porch. (Too rainy). The breakfasts were excellent and we loved sitting at the big family table, talking with the other guests. The hosts were helpful and friendly and... More

We stayed at the Evening Sail on our long road trip from Montreal to Nova Scotia, and what a real nice stop it was. We were warmly greeted by Michelle who did a commendable job on informing us of their place and the village of Pictou and local eating options. The room was airy and beautiful, we had a private... We only had time to spend one day/night at Evening Sail, but totally enjoyed our stay. The hosts, Gail and Michelle mom and daughter) were helpful, intelligent, and expert in seeing that the guests enjoy their stay in Pictou. Our suite was very quiet and comfortable - bed was wonderful! Breakfast by Gail = delicious, fun and memorable. Such characters,... More

The welcome from Gail (one of our hosts) was wonderful. She made you feel as if you we're a friend not just a guest passing through. We had a lovely room upstairs which was very comfortable and charming. Great nights sleep. The bathroom was very small but fine for our short stay. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our... More

Our stay here was a definite PLUS to the trip since we were making a long drive to get here. It wa worth the drive. Michelle was one of the most energetic persons I have ever met. The hosts Gail and Michelle were wonderful. Their knowledege of the area was terrific and they treated us like lond lost family. The Beakfast was terrific anf we were even given take out. The Rooms were clean, comfortable, and better than most hotels. I would certainly stay there again. The location was close to highways and restaurants and shows.

We stayed one night, on our way further north. Michelle is a great host, and made us instantly comfortable. She also has a remarkable recall of her guests names, as we found at breakfast, of which more shortly. We stayed upstairs in a bright and airy room, with a balcony overlooking the back garden. A fly-wire screen door ensured we... More
