The room was spotless clean, very comfortable bed and pleasant decor; staff were very helpful about helping us find our way around the area and the things to see. The price was very reasonable. All in all a fine place to lay your head for a night or a longer stay. We were made to feel very comfortable.

Nice enough. We had reserved the tiny cottage but it was very run-down inside and we decided to pay a bit more for a larger, nicer cottage. Old beds and tv (big old crt tv which sometimes went very red, picture-wise, but seemed to correct after a couple of minutes). AT least it was clean and it WAS nicer than... More

Thanks for your review and for noticing how clean our property is. Given the price point of the small cottages, $64 per night, they are perfect for someone needing cheap accommodations with no frills. Those seeking more can book one of our many suites, one with a jacuzzi tub, for a few dollars more. When I travel, I make a... More

We slept terrific, had plenty of hot water for showers, comfortable & clean accommodations, and convenient parking for 2 days. You really can't ask for more than that. As Nova Scotia is absolutely buried under snow right now, it's hard to see the full grounds, but it's easy to imagine that this Motel would be really lovely in the summer.... More

We had just gotten off the ferry from PEI and stopped without a reservation. We had our choice of rooms and ended up taking a smaller room for $69. It was clean, had a refrigerator, microwave and wifi. They are updating the rooms and cottages. Located within walking distance to grocery store and restaurants. The staff was very friendly. While... I recently went to the Lionstone Inn. The room was clean and spacious. The accommodation was fairly close to the town and stores. The staff were friendly with some Newfoundland charm. Everything was great.

This was our second stay at the Lionstone Inn and once again we were not disappointed. Our room was very clean and we noticed new carpet and drapes. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The property is well located and kept very clean and for $79, you cannot beat that! Staff are also very... More

We stopped in at the Lionstone unannounced and lucked out getting a cottage for 2... The cottage is quaint to say the least, and as I understand it, updates and renovations are ongoing. I chuckled a bit when I saw the bed, as I do not remember the last time I slept in anything other than a queen size bed.... More

We spent one night here, and that was enough. I shall start with the good. The rooms are clean, the spacious grounds are well-maintained and it is a two minute walk from Sobey's. Also, there is a television in each bedroom so finally the parents can watch some news. As for the bad, there is no microwave in the tiny... More

Thanks for your thoughtful review of your stay with us. Our records indicate you chose to stay in one of our economy cottages. We appreciate you may have wanted to save money, as many of us do, but these economy cottages may not be suitable for those looking for spacious modern motel rooms. Many of our cottages are spacious and... More

We wanted to take the first ferry in the morning and choose this motel because it is located closest to it. Okary room, clean etc. Noticed there are a bumber of cute little cottages as well, mostly occupide so they must be pretty good as well. Would stay again.
