We loved it. The accommodations, the hosts, the grounds and the breakfast were all fabulous. Located just outside Halifax in a beautiful neighborhood. The room was spacious, the host accommodating, the grounds were beautiful and the breakfasts were top notch.

What a little hidden gem! Brent was a great host and chef with a great breakfast every morning. Every need was met and would gladly stay again! The cat Peaches was so friendly and was nice to have a cuddle when you called her! The ensuite bath was wonderful and something I looked forward to at the end of a... More

Our host was very helpful with suggestions of what to do in the area. The breakfast was delicious, filling, and beautifully presented. The house is modern, clean, and comfortable. We stayed in the roomy cottage suite. It is located in a quiet, wooded area that provides easy access to downtown Halifax, or to roads heading out to explore other areas... More

My fiance and I stayed here for Valentine's Day and we had a fantastic time. We live in the city, but wanted to "get away" for Valentine's Day. It was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast and I can definitely say we will be back for another stay-cation. Brent and Wanda are so warm and welcoming and... More

Lovely accommodations and superb hosts. Brent was wonderful and accommodating. Their home was warm and inviting. Truly an experience seeing all their artwork and collectables around their home. The room was large and with our GPS we had no issues finding their location. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful. My husband and I would gladly stay here again.

In Nova Scotia the B&B industry is largely unregulated so you never know what you will get. Generally Nova Scotia B&B's fall into two categories ----those that are run as small inns, and those that are peoples homes into which you are invited to spend an evening or two. With the latter you never feel quite comfortable enough to relax... More

After reading the previous review I can empathise with both parties as my wife and I were the couple who had booked the room (on January 25th!!). Sadly Brent had been let down by a software glitch and was between a rock and a hard place. The negative review is perhaps understandable but from my perspective it is a B&b... More

When we made the reservation with Brent (the owner) over the phone, he told us he had two rooms available and booked us into the Garden room using my credit card number to hold the reservation. When we showed up the next day to check in, he said he have NO ROOM for us because he CLAIMS someone already made... More

At Blue Forest Lane we always try to accomodate all of our gusest in a professional and courteous manner, however we do reserve the right to refuse guests. After 11 years in businees this is 1 of only 2 guests that we did not feel comfortable letting accommodate our B&B. We have to always be aware and thinking of our... More

This was our first stop on our 9 days in the Nova Scotia area. We had never stayed at a B&B before. The owners were very wonderful, the room was great, and the breakfast was nice. It was the most unique breakfast we had all week. It is someone's house but we never felt weird or uncomfortable. They usually serve... More

This was our first B&B experience and we absolutely loved it! The owners Brent and Wanda were absolutely lovely - very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Our room (The Garden Room) was so amazingly cute and extremely spacious. We had breakfast in the dining room often - let's just say Brent is an... More
