We stayed here for three nights during our Halifax visit. It's about 10 min drive to downtown Halifax. Their hot breakfast is well organized, WiFi connection is very good, room is clean and spacious, and plenty of parking. The hotel gives you two free drink vouchers and 10% discount to the adjacent restaurant. The general manager visited every table during... More

We stayed here for one night. We had 3 adults and one child. They have us a larger room at no extra cost to accommodate our baby. We also were given free drink vouchers for the restaurant attacked to the hotel (which we didn't end up using unfortunately). We had a very clean and comfortable room. The beds were very... More

My wife stayed there this past weekend for one night and were wowed. For the price that we paid we received a large, quiet, tastefully decorated room with a very comfortable King bed. Extras provided included a great complimentary hot breakfast, free blue-ray movies, a coupon for 10% off our bill at the attached restaurant and two free drinks. Only... More

This was a great place to stay for touring Halifax. The price is very good and the hotel was very nice , clean and comfortable. While in Halifax use the hop on hop off bus. Try "Second Cup Cafe" for a great cup of coffee. I believe this is a chain in Canada

After two weeks touring Nova Scotia by car we booked a final three day stay in Halifax at Comfort Hotel Bayer's Lake. We had already stayed a couple nights in a downtown waterfront hotel upon arrival so we didn't need to do that again. This hotel lived up to and exceeded the reviews and expectations. The owner manager is very... More

The rooms are spacious and clean and contain a microwave and fridge. Being spacious the room could handle an additional comfortable armchair for couples like us who enjoy sitting and talking in the evening. There is easy parking, great shopping nearby, and most importantly the lodging is quiet (even across from the elevator!) and the beds are comfortable. We usually... More

The General Manager is a charming lady (from the Philippines) called Nimfa. You will most likely meet her at breakfast the next morning. We stayed two nights and Nimfa greeted pretty much every guest each morning and was very attentive to any issues raised, making detailed notes in a little spiral bound notebook. She encourages all her staff to be... More

From the time I entered the lobby until the time I departed, this property impressed me. Ramona and Jessica at the front desk were very professional and very helpful with all request. This property could be the Flagship for The Choice Awards program. Upon arrival I was presented with a complimentary drink and a 10% of coupon for a meal... More

Very good high-end quality rooms and hotel, just make sure you don’t stay in the rooms on the first floor as they are next to the elevator. The elevator motor will drive you nuts while trying to fall asleep, other than that we had a great stay.

What sets the Comfort Hotel apart from "equivalent or better" downtown lodgings is the price . . . not only its generally lower room rates, but also the $15-$20 nightly parking fee that those facilities charge. If downtown is where you want to go (and I highly recommend that you do), the waterfront, the Citadel, and the good restaurants are... More
