We spent 24 hrs in airplanes and waiting in airports due to weather problems and missed connections as a result of this; arrived in Halifax with no luggage 3 hrs early for check-in at the Delta Barrington for our 20th anniversary. My husband and I spent a week at this hotel and enjoyed the experience immensely. Check in was very fast and friendly. I arrived a couple of hours early but this did not present any kind of a problem. The bellman, Frank, was incredibly efficient and friendly with several suggestions for restaurants and sights that we should try to see.... more

This hotel is blocks away from the Halifax Harbourfront and steps away from shopping and museums. Some sites (like the Citadel and the Public Gardens) are up a steep hill, so you might want to catch the FRED (Free Rides Everywhere Downtown) bus that stops outside the hotel. Despite there being restaurants downstairs outside our window, we couldn't hear anything.... more

I arrived with my wife, brother and sister in law. The staff was great. They asked if we wanted and provided ajoining rooms. Gave us a map of the sites and recomended where to eat. The rooms were clean . The bed was great. If I had a complaint it would be that I wish the hotel could have had... more

This was a great hotel, the room was nice and clean, and a good size. The staff were quite nice, and the best part about the place was its location. The hotel is walking distance to the Citadel and the waterfront, where we went to a great restaurant called Salty's. There are also pubs and bars nearby if you're interested... more
