We spent three nights at the Waverly. Our room was on the side of the building facing the parking lot and were not bothered by any traffic noise. The room itself was pleasant and nicely appointed. They have a small but attractive common area next to the reception desk. Would not really call it a B&B due to the fact... More

Historic Inn with lots of charm and a great room. Perfect location for downtown sites. Easy walk to waterfront. More than continental breakfast; parlor with computers and smiling staff. Lovely flowers! I would stay again for sure on my next visit.

This was our first trip to Halifax, and we were extremely fortunate to come across this property. Great location and free onsite parking. Excellent beds. Only problem was pedestrian breakfast and no drawer space - had to live out of our suitcases for three days. Very nice lobby area with two computers (and printer) set up for the guests. All... More

We chose The Waverley Inn for it's great history (Oscar Wilde stayed here)but it had the softest, nicest bed and fluffiest pillows we have ever slept in. Our only disappointment was we did not get to sleep in the Oscar Wilde room because we did not know we could ask. Good parking and easy walking to everything in Halifax. The... More

Everything you want to do in Halifax is a short walk from the Waverley Inn, and they have parking (a premium in the heart of Halifax). It has the feeling of the late 19th or early 20th century, the "boom town" days of Halifax. Nice breakfast spread. However, this is not the place if you want to avoid stairs.

This is not a modern inn .. step back in time with this beautiful building .. beautiful rooms. If you have trouble with stairs stay on the main floor. Great location only a few minutes walk to pier 21 and the harbor walk. My one recommendation to the hotel would be for the big price we pay to have muffins... More

The hotel is an interesting historical building. The choice of décor is odd -- there are all sorts of antiques which are not really functional or decorative -- they're just antiques. for example, there were antiques in our room that would not have been used in bedrooms. It was difficult to find a power outlet that was not in use... More

The best value for your money in Halifax!!! Beautiful hotel, perfectly located within walking distance of harbour and citadel and many great restaurants. The inn is decorated with gorgeous antiques and rooms are great!!! Awesome hot breakfast included with your room. You can't go wrong with this location - have stayed here twice, (five years apart), and it is always... More

The Waverley is a beautiful old inn, well taken care of and clean. Easy walking distance to the harbor and off the street parking, a great place to take in Halifax on foot. My husband and I had a beautiful queen room on the first floor and our friends had an equally nice king room also on the first floor.... More
