Booked the romance package... amazing fruit/cheese etc.. and champagne welcome. Beds were perfect. Loved the downtown location to walk to restaurants. Best choice in the city. more

We rolled into Halifax late on a Sat. afternoon with no reservations anywhere but with help from the Tourist Bureau we landed at this hotel. The Halliburton has a great location, close to good restaurants, the waterfront, etc. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, in the 3rd townhouse, on the 3rd floor. This hotel is a gem. While my colleaguest stayed at a nondescript chain, I relaxed in space and comfort at the Halliburton. My room was enormous and had a queen bed, very large sitting area with a full size sofa and arm chairs, a desk with *free* high speed internet, and a nice bathroom. Wonderful service from reservation to check out. Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Within a good walking distance from everywhere in Halifax. As it is summr, we enjoyed some time in the hotel's outdoor patio area. We would definitely go back to this hotel as opposed to one of the bigger ones. more

While our room was alright (but rather small), out biggest complaint was location. More specifically the location of the Blues Club "Bearly's" in respect to where the hotel is. "Bearly's House of Blues" boasts that it is the premier venue for blues in Halifax, NS and it is conveniently located across the back alley from the Halliburton. Please feel free... more
