First time in Halifax NS. Stayed for 7 nights to attend conference downtown. Excellent location for business. Close to tourist areas also. A true boutique hotel. Quiet rooms tastefully decorated and clean. Nice touches - coffee maker in room and in residents lounge. Free PC & printer for boarding passes, etc. Good WiFi. Continental breakfast buffet more than adequate and... More

We booked the most expensive room. It was therefore a little surprising to walk downstairs to the room. The room was poorly cleaned. Dirty glasses left on the bar along with a dirty paper coffee cup. It was pointed out to management. One would expect that the deficiency would be corrected immediately. However, it was not dealt with. There're was... More

The Halliburton is a great place to stay in Halifax! A gem with style and charm. Its within walking distance to all tourist locations downtown. We stayed in one of the annex buildings (the next street door down from the main hotel door) on the 1st floor. The room was large and nicely appointed with desk and chair, couch and... More

Booked this little gem for a mixed business/ pleasure trip early July. The Grand Suite is located in an adjoining historic building and is located in the basement. No A/C but was nice and cool even during the hottest day. Included a jacuzzi tub big enough for two, large shower with two shower heads, a separate bedroom with a massive... More

stayed for 2 nights at the end of a 2 week touring holiday in the Maritimes - had stayed in a different and quite highly rated but disappointing Halifax hotel at the start of our trip and when we saw The Halliburton I changed the reservation and very glad we did. Quite a quirky hotel comprising converted town houses. Large... More

We were two couples visiting Halifax and it was our first stop on our vacation. This hotel is in walking distance tot the water front, the citadel and much more. The accommodations were very vintage yet modern enough. We had a room in the second building which was large with plenty of room. The breakfast was in the main house... More

I visited Halifax for 5 days in June and I was surprised to lodge in a well-preserved 19th Century house. Furniture recalls Old England style, the room is large, the bed is clean and soft to the point, the armchairs very comfortable. Morris Street is located at the outer limit of Halifax downtown and in a couple of minutes one... More

We chose this hotel with a view to asking Halifax friends to come to dinner there, it's cuisine being renowned. Unfortunately we arrived too let for that, but found the hotel to be a charming place with nearby parking. It was decorated in a comfortable, rather Victorian style. The service was king and helpful and the breakfast good.

As we stay in scores of hotels every year I decided to devise a template of the features we feel are most important and concentrate on those: Room number, floor, size? – Room 113, top floor – precipitate stairs, but Hassan willingly carried our heavy cases up and down, with a smile. Room not large but very comfortable. Bed –... More

Nice and cozy boutique hotel in excellent location for a reasonable price. What else one would want? Service was very good; friendly staff gave good and comprehensive advice as asked. The room was beautiful, clean and tidy. There are no elevators, but staff is ready to help with luggage as needed. The Inn is in old nicely renovated properties- well... More
