Our one night stay in the Grand Suite was very comfortable, quiet, and just what we were looking for. The king size bed was very cozy, the jetted tub in the huge bathroom was great as were the comfy bathrobes we put on after and the fireplace with the one log was perfect. There were a couple surprises, but nothing... More

We booked last-minute to celebrate our anniversary. The dinner/room package was reasonably priced. We liked the historic feel to the room, though it was plenty big enough. What will bring us back, either to stay overnight or just to eat, was the restaurant. It was an amazing meal, accompanied by excellent, reasonably-priced wine. No wonder it's rated among the top... The staff were kind and attentive (someone even carried my bag up to my room), the accommodations are lovely, the location is great (very central), and there's an impressive (though expensive) restaurant on the main floor.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your recent visit to Halifax. We have lots of stairs and are always happy to help with suitcases. I'm pleased you found the location central. Many guests are surprised to discover they have no need for a car once they arrive. Come and visit again soon. Robert Pretty Manager, The Halliburton,... More

I ended up snow stayed in Halifax and choose the Haliburton because it had rooms available. What a treat!! I had a lovely room with a sitting area and view out to the snow. Breakfast was good and home made. The fact that there was on site parking was my salvation as there was no parking on any streets and... More

Enjoyed the meal, the play at Neptune and our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The snowstorm that made getting out of the parking lot was not so fun. Staff was out shovelling to try and free us, so their efforts were appreciated, especially with the pushing. Thanks!

Wonderful boutique hotel, my prefered place to stay when I visit Dalhousie University in Halifax. Spacious and clean rooms with character. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but the secret is the evening restaurant, one of best in Halifax.

Thank you for choosing to stay at The Halliburton Hotel during your recent visit to Dalhousie University. As the snow (finally) melts and spring arrives, we are looking forward to hosting many Dalhousie "parents" as they visit for graduation. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed our restaurant 'Stories'. I hope you tried the forest mushroom soup with chestnut raviolis!... More

Stayed one night just the two of us, stumbled upon this inn! Such friendly people there everywhere you turn. We had our bags carried to our room which was a great added touch! Free breakfast which we had more than enough of. We can't wait to visit again.

Loved this unique hotel tucked in downtown Halifax. The service, breakfast, accommodations everything was perfect for us! Love the library, have to say we will be back just to enjoy this more. Didn't get a chance to try Stories but we've heard great things! We grabbed a quick lunch at the Henry house which is only a few blocks down.... More

I stay at the Halliburton whenever I am in Halifax and have always recommended it to friends and family. I usually enjoy my stay and find the staff very helpful and friendly, which is why I was o disappointed with my last visit at the beginning of March. The parking is always a bit tricky but with the winter the... More

We had a fabulous time. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. The front office even parked our car. We had booked a theatre weekend and had great seats at Rexy. The dinner after the play was superb.
