The rooms and the public areas in the Halliburton has a lot of character and is most conveniently located within minutes of the waterfront. A good breakfast is included. We did not have the chance to try to hotel's restaurant for dinner but many of our colleagues have told us great things about it.

From the phone call to make the reservation, to check-in, getting to the room, having a fabulous supper, an excellent breakfast and finally checking-out, The Halliburton House is top-notch in all respects. A very memorable experience.

We booked into this 'boutique' hotel highly anticipating our stay. But we were very disappointed at the size of the room. The room #306, was locate don the third floor of one of the house with a double bed + single bed and a minuscule bathroom. Actually everything in this room was small, from the TV to the ceilings that... More

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at The Halliburton. I regret that you did not find your room suitable. While many guests find the second "mini" sleeping area in this particular room a nice feature, I understand that this was not useful to you. I wish we had the opportunity to show some alternate room options after you checked... More

My husband and I come to Nova Scotia for 9 days, knowing that it wasn't really the 'season' but decided to take a chance. The Halliburton was a great find, the restaurant great, and the people thoroughly helpful and pleasant. We ended up coming back again at the end of our stay and were very happy we did. Great location... More

Great location for walking around town. Friendly and helpful employees. Very nice breakfast, my only request would be to provide real yogurt, not the fat free stuff they serve. I found the bed too soft. I get a sore back in the morning with a soft mattress, however my wife had no complaint. Free parking in downtown Halifax is a... More

The Halliburton is a located in a beautiful, charming old building with attentive, caring staff. It is not a sleek, high tech, modern hotel but the older rooms have great character. They are well maintained, decorated and equipped with as many conveniences as possible (coffee maker, wifi etc) that greatly make up the little things, like not having individualized control... We stayed in December 2014 for 2 nights, my boyfriend concocted an elaborate proposal in Halifax and the staff at the Halliburton Inn were absolutely lovely, they left champagne in the room for after the proposal for us to enjoy. We are even thinking of staying there again when we come back to Halifax to get married next year. It's... More

This boutique hotel is so cute and quaint. The staff is extra helpful! Always willing to pull out a map and help or give suggestions. Rooms and very spacious and clean. We stayed in one of the two buildings next door to the reception, it felt like we had our own little apartment in the heart of the city. Thank... More
