We stayed at this lovely hotel for the Easter weekend and had a delightful stay. The room was wonderful with a fabulous water view. The hotel was quiet, the staff were courteous and informative. As it was easter there was not a ton open we were given some excellent suggestions for our restaurant choices. We would stay here again for... More

The Westin is always our favourite place to stay while staying in downtown Halifax. Most rooms are very spacious and the beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel. The location is superb being within walking distance to most downtown attractions.

I will start off by saying that this is not the hotel for us . Upon checking ... The room that was given to us was very small And dark ... It was depressing so I returned to the front desk to asked for another room... The clerk at the desk said that it was an old hotel and most... More

Very average, nothing about this stay was exceptional. Food was terrible quality. Breakfast buffet was swimming in oil, even the omlette. No one goes above and beyond in the service area. I requested a taxi and was told to go stand outside and wait.

I was in Halifax on business for 2 short nights but was beyond impressed with this hotel. Check-in staff were fantastic, bar and restaurant staff were amazing and the bell hops were quick, courteous and attentive. The rooms were beautiful and well maintained. If coming to Halifax again this is the only place I would stay, and as an SPG... More

This is a great hotel. Nice size rooms, walk in closets, flat screen tv, wonderful bedding. We did a group event which included the room, dinner and yuk yuks. Ask for a room facing the harbour on a top floor for a view. The other side faces the street and park. There is an indoor pool. The dining room meal... More

We checked in April 4th for two nights. Check in was fast so my husband and I went to our room324. Yes it was small but it was very clean and sufficient for our needs. That night there was a party going on either side of our room. Walls are very thin. The people next to us we could hear... More

Stayed here recently for 2 nights for work; the hotel is in an OK location, away from the historical section but only a short walk away. Check-in was fast and friendly; I would say though the hotel is a little dated versus other Westin's nationally. The room was small, with very regular and ordinary furniture. The bed was nice but... To check in I waited in a long line for one hour. Only one receptionist. Although I have a reservation they gave me the worst room in the hotel. They didn't do anything to make it up except saying we are so sorry. Well apology not acceptable, I paid 150$ to sleep only 4 hours. Breakfast is expensive, but within... More

We booked The Westin via a blind booking on Priceline and got a great deal. You always hope to walk into a magically upgraded room with a view of the water but that doesn't happen very often. Our room was clean (but small) and the bed was comfortable. We found free parking on the square, but the hotel offers parking... More
