Stayed here for 5 days in 2010 and just back from a 3 day stay. Both experiences were very good. In each case we had booked a number of rooms for our extended family, and were given free upgrades to harbourviews for some of the rooms. The staff are very friendly and professional. Rooms are well appointed. It is a... More

I recently had the peasure of visiting Halifax for a business conference. The hotel hosting my conference was the Westin Nova Scotian, so I kept life simple and booked my room at the Westin. The hotel is an older hotel located within a few minutes walking to the waterfront, the Pier market, shopping, a park, and a wide variety of... More

This is an average hotel in a good location in downtown Halifax. I find the finishes are a bit dated and the rooms are only OK. Choices to eat in hotel or many nearby restaurants. I find it overpriced for quality. Also the parking and wi-fi fees are a bit frustrating.

This is a great old world charming hotel. Fantastic location with access to wonderful restaurants and all that down town Halifax has to offer. We had a 2 day conference with round tables in the meeting rooms and ball rooms as well as breakfast, lunch and suppers. It was a great location for a meeting!

The Westin Hotel is the former CN Hotel in Halifax NS. As a result some parts of the Hotel are a bit older. We had a room in the older part of the Hotel. While the room was a reasonable size, it only had one chair for 2 guests, and that chair was more of an office chair rather than... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Our heritage hotel is one of the original railway hotels in Canada and is over 81 years old. Due to the history of our hotel, some of the rooms are smaller than others; we are sorry you experienced a smaller room. As for the wireless internet, we do price shop... More

This was my third stay at the Westin Nova Scotian and again I enjoyed it very much. The hotel is clean, quiet and the staff very professional. Arriving after a long flight we received a very friendly welcome. Rooms are modernly equipped, well serviced and our room offered a nice view of the bay. The breakfast buffet is a real... More

The hotel is beautiful from the outside. The staff is very friendly, especially the valets. (You can self-park also). The valet took the time to show me on a map where I needed to go, and gave me a guidebook. My room was small and awkward. Tiny closet. Had a nice harbour view. It's close to the touristy area, but... We stayed 3 nights with the Westin, 14th to 17th May and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We came off the train from Montreal, how nice to stay undercover and just walk a few meters to the lobby of the Hotel. Checking in was fast and efficient, Sophie was excellent, helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious, overlooking the Harbour, quiet,... More

My partner and I are from Halifax, and for his birthday we planned a relaxing Stay-Cation. We booked online, what was supposed to be a Harbourview room with complimentary breakfast. When we arrived, we were told our room was not available, and instead of a romantic Harbourview like we expected, we were put on the opposite side of the building... More
