We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and loved it. The location is perfect, right on the water and within walking distance of everything. The room was very clean and staff was great. I would definately stay here again. more

The hotel is clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The 'communications suite' offered ($13 bucks a day for internet) is ridiculous; use the wi-fi from the building next door for free. Room service is pricy and food is so-so; parking is expensive at $25 a day plus tipping. Concierge staff/parking guys are first-rate. There is not a good restaurant in the... more

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the Marriott Harbourfront Downtown Halifax on business. Location is excellent! Close to the bridge and walking distance to the water walkway and great restaurants/pubs. As well, an indoor connection to the Casino. Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Room was cleaned and tidied daily. One day the housekeeper did forget to leave... more

Wanted a special place to celebrate my son's grad from Dalhousie. This is not it. We were told we had a harbourview (general number - with Marriott you cannot get through to the exact hotel) which was a tiny peek - we faced up the hill. Went for a bedroom suite, none of which face the water - don't be... more

Unfortunately for us, we happened to be there on Easter Sunday and Monday and not all services were available. Lovely room and got it at a great price through Priceline. You cannot beat this location for walking in the downtown area. Pub restaurant was closed, Starbucks was closed or closed early. Connection to the Casino (but the restaurant there was... more

The rooms in the hotel are typical Marriott, which is not a bad thing. Comfy bed, I found the decor of the room s pleasant and relaxing. Harbour view room which I paid extra for had an incredible view, windows on 2 sides of the large corner room, one window looking directly out to the harbour, the other with a... more

Stayed here on business at the end of March, 2009. Overall, a really top-quality experience. Cons relate to parking and daily internet charges. Hotel location: - Very convenient to harbourfront strip, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, etc. as well as ferry to Dartmouth. Don't need a car to experience downtown Halifax from here. - Casino on one side... more

I stayed at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront from March 11-13, 2009 on business ($125/night) Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. The hotel was tastefully decorated and well-located. My room (486) was spacious, quiet and comfortable. The room service menu is varied and reasonably priced (for room service, of course). The staff were friendly and helpful. They even delivered... more
