We just finished a delightful week with Jim & Debbie in the wheelchair friendly Landings room overlooking the tranquil St. Margaret's Bay. The house is very modern and well decorated with a spacious room and double sized bathroom equipped with a couples Jacuzzi and full shower. For the first few days, we followed Jim's detailed advice and maps to visit... More

We stayed three nights in the Landings room; large, clean, comfortable, and with a fabulous view of the bay. The whole house is beautiful. Host Jim is very friendly and is super helpful with maps and suggestions for things to see and do. The breakfast was a bit of a weak link; certainly adequate and plentiful, but we would prefer... We stayed 3 nights and used it as a base for our day trips! Friendly and accommodating hosts! Delicious large breakfast to start the day! The setting is gorgeous! We cannot give the room top marks, however since it was quite uncomfortable. No cozy chairs to sit and read or share a bottle of wine at the end of the... More

Jim and Debbie at Rum Hollow are super nice people. Better than that, they operate one of the finest bed and breakfasts we've ever stayed in. About 20 minutes outside Halifax on St. Margaret's Bay, this bed and breakfast has it all: comfortable rooms, great food, beautiful views of the bay, and wonderful hosts. Don't miss this one if you're... More

Can't wait to revisit Rum Hollow. We love B&Bs and this one ranks with the best. We loved a restaurant they sent us to and had a beautiful stay by the water in Nova Scotia. We live in DC, and loved the friendly people and wine country of eastern Canada. Getting an answer from the owner took a while, be... More

We had two fantastic nights at Rum Hollow. The seaside views are stunning and the rooms beautifully decorated, clean with a luxurious jacuzzi bath. The location is perfect for Halifax during the day or for dinner and an easy drive to Peggy's cove or further round the coast to Lunenburg. Breakfast was just what we asked for. Jim and Debbie...
