Looked all over Halifax for a decent downtown hotel that wasn't 200 a night. Couldn't find one, so ended up here. Great location in South Halifax, in a mature neighborhood, about a 20 minute walk to Spring Garden Street, half hour to the water. Check in staff was great. Rooms were clean, but are what they are, a dorm room.... More

I spent 2 of my 4 years as a Loyola resident while attending SMU from 1981-1985. Yes the apartments had the bare necessities in furniture, but the idea is to make it home for the duration. i wouldn't trade my time at SMU for anythign- best years of my life :-) Rachel (Ivarsson-Klein) Starbuck

We stayed two nights at the Rice residence of Saint Mary's University. We were two couples sharing a little appartment. We each had our bedroom (with two single beds in each). We shared a common bathroom, livingroom and kitchen. The appartment was clean but in need of fresh paint. This is pretty basic stuff, but good enough if you just... More
