my husband and I took a little road trip and stayed over in Digby. Our stay at the Siesta Motel was very friendly and hospitable. The room was not large,( but neither was the price). Our room was clean , neat and all we needed for the night. I would return again. Barb and Danny

Out of 2 weeks of traveling the Maritimes, this was NOT the least expensive (close), but it was the least appealing motel. No A/C, but a floor fan. Heaters in ill repair. OK beds with clean linens. YUKKY bathroom, with moldy tub, thin and small towels, and we were absolutely not able to adjust the water temperature in the shower.... More

Came over on the ferry, took a cab to this little motel. Owners Helen & Bob are very friendly. Rooms are small, clean, and little rustic, but cheaply priced for what we needed. No AC, but ceiling fan was all we needed. Owners are warm with great hospitality, and would recommend this little place to any one. It's not the... More

The Siesta Motel in Digby, Nova Scotia is very well located in downtown Digby, steps away from the waterfront boardwalk and a handful of restaurants. The motel is of the older variety, but very clean and comfortable. Two important features make it especially recommendable. The first one is its hosts; they are very friendly and helpful. They genuinely seem to... More

The place was clean, it looked a little rough when outside but inside was nice. No frills, if you're used to fancy you'll be disappointed, but for a family on vacation, especially with pets I recommend stopping here. We slept 5 to the one room, with our dog and it was completely reasonable. I ended up sleeping in the car... More

Clean rooms, no frills, under $100. Owner was extremely friendly and helpful. If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this motel is perfect. Walking distance to the waterfront and shopping areas.

If what you want is a bed at a reasonable cost and don't need a lot of amenities, this is the spot for you. While Spook the Cat greeted us, the owner provided tons of good info on things to see and do. We enjoyed his sense of humour and would not hesitate to come back again. .

The only thing going for this place is the location and the communal BBQ area. The rooms are tiny, not soundproofed, no A/C. The lady who owned the place was very nice, her husband is another story. He was extremely rude on 2 separate occasions. Definitely will be staying elsewhere

Everything is a bit battered but clean and comfortable enough. Enjoyed my stay, wished it could have been longer.

We typically travel without reservations as we like to explore and not be on a schedule. After taking the ferry from Saint John, NB to Digby, NS and checking out this pleasant town, we stopped at the Siesta Motel to inquire about their rates. Helen, one of the owners, gave us a surprisingly economical rate and we stayed 2 nights.... More
