The Pines has a lot to offer if you're not too particular about fine service or immaculate maintenance. The golf course is great, food is good, and it has the character of a yesteryear resort, lost in time. more

I stayed at this resort for 4 nights in the month of August paying $173 per night. Since Digby is a small town, this is the only "resort" here. The location of the resort is picturesque and the grounds are beautiful boasting beautiful gardens, a fantastic golf course, tennis court, pool, spa and beautiful view of the bay. However, for... more

We stayed for 3 nights right after Hurricane Bill passed through and had a wonderful time. We were in the main building in a very large room with a Jacuzzi. The boys were thrilled to have their own cots. Regarding the noise concerns, the hallway does seem to carry sound but inside the room it wasn't an issue. The staff... more

We had a lovely time at the Digby Pines with our 3 kids. The 2 bedroom cabin was comfortable and had a great breakfast that was included. Great value! more

My husband and I wanted to make reservations to join our friends for a get-away week-end. The website showed that there were no reservations available on Friday but we thought there might have been cancellations so we phoned the 1-800 number once on a Friday night and then, the next day, 4 times at different time intervals. Each time, we... more

Beautiful resort but our room was way too small . It got very cold at night and we were told the heat was unavailable .They said they would get a heater for us but were unable to locate one .We had to drive to Walmart to purchace a small heater ourselves . We really enjoyed the waterfront in Digby and... more

The grounds at The Pines are amazingly well kept and beautiful. The hotel is grand...when you approach it you are taken back by how beautiful it is. The atmosphere is a bit stuffy and it seems to attract older visitors and the upper class. We were looking for a more relaxed location. There is a pool onsite, tennis court, golfing... more

My husband and I were traveling with my sister and her husband, we all very favorably impressed with the hotel. It's a very charming looking building, so "Great Gatsby" ish. But although it was built in the 20's it's certainly modern where it counts. Our room was smallish but big enough for us to be comfortable. The room did have... more

Very nice hotel - looks out over water, has extremely friendly staff who are eager to please. Nice rooms and as some reviews have noted, water side rooms cost no more. We stayed in a main lodge, can't comment on cottages. Owned by government and done well - breakfast buffet included in price. Rooms very pleasant. Both another guest and... more
