First time to Nova Scotia. Grounds were beautiful, pool was warm, fitness center was small, food was delicious and golf was picturesque. Room was comfortable but walls were paper thin ...request a room on the end.

This was the last place we stayed on our 6-day trip around Nova Scotia before heading home. The grounds were lovely as were the reception and lobby areas. The staff was very helpful as well. However, our room was a huge disappointment. The bed was nice, but that was it. The room was very small and in need of a... More

Ok... I wanted to like this place more than I did because a) it's old and has character and b) the people who work there are really nice. But truth be told it's old and that's about it. The rooms are small. Really small. Like small in the sense that the desk where you would put your stuff is right... More

Returned for one night stay on recent tour after originally staying there in 2003 when we last visited the Maritimes. We had a much better room this time, my memory of the last room was to the rear of the hotel and being rather small. This time we had a room overlooking the water with a large bay window with... Digby Pines Resort hotel has a wonderful location overlooking the tidal estuary and the hotel is reminiscent of a German or Austrian Schloss with amazingly polished floors and high ceilings and fine furniture. Shame our bedroom door was so hard to close while the bathroom door would open on its own! The shower was broken and the plumbing very noisy... More

We had a great 2 night stay in the Main Lodge. The property is beautiful and well cared for, and the main lodge is charming and historic. We had a king room on the second floor. The room was small (as they are in older hotels) but comfortable. Our bathroom was a bit outdated. The pool was great, and we... More

Chose the Pines based on TripAdvisor reviews for our weekend getaway during the Labour Day long weekend. The Pines is older and the property reflects that, however our room (303) had a great view of the basin, had A/C, was clean and comfortable. Unaware, we there during the Digby Wharf Rat Rally (one of the largest motorcycle rallies in North... More

The Digby Pines is perched on a hill above Digby on the road to the St. John ferry. From arrival to checkout we experienced friendly, courteous and professional staff and they made our stay memorable. The front counter staff greeted us warmly and offered suggestions for activities. The Sunday buffet was exceptional and the antipasto was exquisite in presentation and... More

Stayed here for a night in Aug prior to taking the ferry back to Portland Maine. What a great place. Classic hotel architecture, very nice grounds, pool, restaurant. Town of Digby is a nice place for a visit too. Would love to go back and stay for 3 or 4 days.

When approaching The Pines Resort you feel like you are driving up to a European Castle. The building and grounds are elaborate and well kept. We stayed in a cabin and it was modern and comfortable and included a working fireplace. It must be difficult to keep the many cabins painted and welcoming - our fantastic porch was in desperate...
