I have travelled extensively and certainly find that there is a great variation inQuality Inns. The one across the harbour in Halifax is almost brand new and this one is maybe from the 70's. The room was clean and large. BUT the room had obviously converted from smoking to non-smoking, but had not been properly cleaned and still smelled of stale smoke. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is close to both the Halifax bridges and there are some decent restaurants nearby.

I can't for the life of me understand how dumps like this qualify as a "Quality Inn" there us a huge spread between this hotel and say QI Levis, QC, Levis is brand new, top of the line, this one feels like it can be rented by the hour
