The Inn was a nice surprise for us as we had been staying at little motels along our trip. This was more of an executive hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite which had a nice big room. Wood and tile floors, modern furnishings, very clean. It had a kitchenette which seemed to be well stocked with anything you might... More

I had to travel to Sydney for a "temporary" job of about 2-3 months. Luckily the company I work for had used this facility before. I ended up staying for over 2 years, leaving May of 2015, and it felt like I was leaving my second home. The Inn has a charm about it that you must see to believe.... More

Spanish Bay Inn and Suites is located near the cruise ship dock in downtown Sydney. The location is convenient, one block from a great restaurant. The suite we had was amazing, the bed was super comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped and a separate room with a sofa and TV, really it was the size of an apartment. And it was... More

You cannot blame a hotel for bad weather, but take it from us Cape Breton is way nicer when the sun shines! You can blame a hotel though for letting itself down on little details. It was unfortunate that as there are no elevators there is no one to help with baggage ; it's unfortunate that although this hotel "prides... More

Unfortunately we were just passing through and didn't get to spend much time at the Spanish Bay but I was still very pleasantly surprised. The Inn offers a free laundry facility (with detergent) which was enormously helpful and convenient, off-street parking, and complimentary continental breakfast. Since I told them in advance that I was gluten-free the manager ran out and... More

We had a great experience at the Spanish Bay Suites. The suites are clean and well-appointed with microwave and bar fridge. Both Junior and Queen suites have one Queen bed - I believe the difference is the room size; Queen suites have extra seating (just check the details when booking). We had the 2-bedroom apartment, which is gorgeous, with modern... More

There is nothing remarkable about this Inn. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast was self-serve but adequate. There is no staff on-site after 8 so you have to be there by then or let them know that you will be late. They did go out of their way to get some gluten-free bread for a celiac guest.

Super room, fantastic staff to oversee the building (LInda MacKinnon - ask her anything about Cape Breton and she'll help you to find it, book it, or know about it) and a really quaint little boutique hotel. It's warm, welcoming and you'll have a great sleep. Windows were beyond me on how to get them to work, but it didn't... More

It is so difficult planning a trip to a location and trying to ascertain which places to stay and whether the pictures actually correctly depict the accommodations. This is why I always use the TRAVELLERS' PICTURES and not the MANAGEMENT's on the TRIPADVISOR reviews. It was so nice after a very long day's drive from Bangor, Maine to be welcomed... More

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Cape Breton for Celtic Colours folk festival. Central location and small free car park. Staff went out of their way to be helpful, Free laundry facilities. Rooms and social area a little jaded
