We stayed at Paradise Found for a week while we enjoyed the Celtic Colours, The Cabot Trail and some shopping. What a delightful location and what accommodating hosts. Breakfasts were always unique and delicious and our wonderful hosts also invited us for Thanksgiving Dinner and a Seafood Chowder dinner on our last day - certainly beyond anything that we expected.... more

Rick and Connie Bowers are true ambassadors of Cape Breton hospitality. We unreservedly recommend their B&B to anyone. They went out of their way to make our stay with them memorable in every way. We could not have expected better. more

I traveled to Cape Breton to visit with my daughter who is studying there. Rick and Connie opened not only their home, but their hearts to us. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. It is indeed a home away from home. You will not be disappointed!. more

There isn't anything worth knowing about Nova Scotia and especially Cape Breton that Rick and Connie don't know. They exude hospitality and helpfulness and provide an atmosphere which is at once homey and welcoming but not intrusive. We have stayed with Rick and Connie three times and always feel like we've come home when we arrive. They provide amenities like... more

I have now stayed at A Paradise Founds twice in the past month. Traveling on business, my schedule called for early mornings and sometimes late evenings. When I wasn't able to join all their guests for breakfast, Rick was always at the front door as I tried to sneak out quietly with a "Connie McMuffin" (Sorry, McDonalds Egg McMuffin ....... more

This was my first trip to Nova Scotia with my children and my Mother in law. My Mother in law and I stayed in the beautiful spacious Rose Room at the wonderful A Paradise Found. As soon as we arrived from, the warmth and comfort, tradition and friendliness enveloped me from our hosts Rick and Connie Bowers. Their home was... more

From the moment we booked our room we enjoyed great hospitality from Rick and Connie. Their home is beautiful and within walking distance from the water front and great restaurants. We stayed in the Wedgeroom room which was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. They offered great suggestions of what to see and do and provided maps of the area. I... more

This B&B was located were you could walk downtown or if driving was close to major highways. The rooms were spacious and very well decorated. Nice comfortable king size beds made for a restful sleep. Each room had its own bathroom with all the necessities. Each morning our breakfast was a five star event. Elegantly prepared dishes served on fancy... more

We enjoyed our one evening at A Paradise Found. The B&B is about a 20-minute walk from its residential neighborhood to downtown Sydney. The curb appeal of A Paradise Found is more than rivalled by its interior decorations and the warmth of Rick & Connie, the owners. Once inside, one can't help but notice the homey touches that they have... more

From the minute we booked the room until we checked out, Rick and Connie could not have been more helpful and friendly. Rick had suggestions on what to do in the area via the internet weeks before we arrived. He suggested a tour of Fort Loiusbourg, th Miners Museam, and made reservations with perfect seats for the Ceilidh at the... more
