Very comfortable, clean and a gourmet breakfast. Hosts, Connie and Rick, are welcoming. Breakfast provides opportunities for interesting conversation between guests and hosts . They are knowledgable and give good suggestions for travel in the area. Easy walking distance to downtown and dinner. A good place to stay in Sydney!

Connie and Rick are excellent hosts and their home is lovely. Connie is a chef who serves her breakfast as a masterpiece Rick supplies the frame in which it sits. The rooms are clean and bright and the bed very comfortable. You will love your stay here we did we had 3 great nights. Thanks Rick and Connie

Definitely paradise... My first visit to Nova Scotia and my first stay at a B&B. Sydney was snow covered, winds were blowing but I have never felt so warm and comfortable. Connie and Rick are very knowledgable hosts. Their beautiful home, delicious breakfasts and conversations all added to my experience. I am already looking forward to retuning to Sydney where... My husband and I stayed with Rick and Connie for the Celtic Colours festival this fall. They made us feel that we were friends who had come to visit them. Conversation after each outstanding breakfast lasted over an hour. Our hosts were very good at making 6 strangers comfortable at our first meeting. Rick and Connie know the island very... More

We found A Paradise Found at TripAdvisor when on a whim we planned a quick trip to Sydney. We didn't have the chance to think what we wanted to do when in the town, so we simply headed there. Coming from the US, our GPS didn't provide Canadian directions, which was a big drag. In an email Rick had forewarned... More

We made the right choice! This first trip to Cape Breton for Celtic Colours was a tremendous success, much in part to Rick and Connie at A Paradise Found. Six nights of good sleep, 6 delicious breakfasts, intriguing and informative conversation made us feel right at home here. They even invited us for Canadian Thanksgiving dinner, which was a wonderful... More

We entered A Paradise Found as strangers and left as friends. Rick and Connie were amazing and gracious hosts, suggesting places and routes, and recommending restaurants. Their experience and tips allowed us to make the most of our time. They helped us to get tickets for a concert that was one of the highlights of our trip to Cape Breton.... More

An Exceptional B&B experience! Connie and Rick are fabulous hosts! Every breakfast was a taste delight and an amazing experience in itself. We always looked forward to the great conversations over breakfast. Connie is the ultimate tour guide, highlighting on maps the routes and places of interest in the Sydney area. Quaint and delightful B & B. Rick and Connie provided us with a map of the Cabot Trail annotated with notes based on their personal knowledge of restaurants, sights to see, hikes, side roads to take, etc. We relied on it the whole way. They gave us amazing tips about Louisburg, a great short hike nearby, the Miners Museum, restaurants.... More
