My husband and best friend and I booked both rooms for two nights in August 2014 and had the most lovely of stays. Vincent could not have been more hospitable and accommodating, we felt at home instantly. The lovely common area upstairs was our privately as we booked both rooms and it was a great place to relax and chat... More

Having now read the other reviews about this wonderful, warm and comfy B&B and after sending Vince a small gift of appreciation, I'm at a loss to add my thoughts it would be repeating what others are saying. If I had any criticism it would be a reminder for me to take my own bar of soap. All the amenities... More

We loved this B and B. Vince was very friendly and we chatted with him for some time. The two rooms upstairs are totally redone and really lovely. There is a common sitting area, but since we were the only ones there - it was all ours. There is coffee, tea, a few snacks and cold water and pop in... More

The Weary Gardener Bed and Breakfast is a great experience. The breakfasts were delicious and were varied for each of the three mornings that we were there. Vince greeted us when we arrived and, without being intrusive, made sure that we were well taken care of during our entire stay. The furnishings in the house are mostly antiques and were... More

The best place we stayed during our trip around Nova Scotia. Better than the hotel we stayed at Halifax!Vincent, the host, is the nicest guy I ever met and the decoration is classy and homey. The location is great close to restaurant and if you stay at the frost room u can even see ocean from one window. The room... More

Based on the pictures I have seen, I was expecting this B&B to be special but I was still amazed at how beautifully furnished his whole house was. I wished my house looked as nice! We felt very pampered. If you are ever going to be in Sydney, definitely go and stay at the Weary Gardener. I only wish we... More

The Weary Gardener B&B is in an excellent location in Sydney. Vince is charming and breakfast delicious. Easy walking to the boardwalk and restaurants. Thanks, Vince...next time we'll definitely stay longer!

Certainly not "weary", host Vince prepares a fine breakfast and has much to offer in traveling tips and just good ol' conversation. The gardens are splendid, and our room (Frost) looked down on the back one. The mattress is great (a comfy bed is important to my back). The upstairs "parlor" is a most pleasant place to sit and read... More

The Weary Gardener is an outstanding B&B when traveling in Cape Breton. My wife and I stayed for 5 days while attending the Celtic Colours Festival. Our host, Vince, even stayed up late for us to arrive on our first night, greeting us as if he'd known us forever. The room, The Burns Suite, was beautifully appointed and ultra-clean. It... More

My wife and I stayed four nights at the Weary Gardener B&B. It was the best accommodations on our 30 day trip to the Maritimes. We arrived early, however right from the first knock on the door Vince made us feel right at home. The room and ensuite was outstanding, and very clean. We also had a lounge upstairs to... More
