My wife and myself enjoyed staying here,as the staff were very friendly the price was very reasonable and it included a decent breakfast. It also had a good game room and offered courtesy coffee and snacks throughout the day.We found it clean and good beds.If you are looking for a 4-5 star hotel then there are some in the area at... The rooms here are compact. The linens and pillows need an update . Like ,it's not a bad room but compared to the nearby chain brands, it is almost not worth the savings . The worst is the common areas where there is need for a good cleaning, painting and something to get rid of the smoke smells . The... More

I had stayed here recently. I stayed on the top floor. When I had opened the door to my room (which doesn't open or close easily), I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the room was. Some of the furniture is dated and the head boards to the bed's reminded me of the old 80 style captain beds when I... More

Stayed here for a night during our eastern canada tour.wish we had longer. The rooms were great. We were on the same floor as reception and had the most amazing view from the hallway to the room. Rooms were spacious and clean and beds comfortable. Wifi was good as well :)

We are currently staying here and what a mistake! The hall is overrun with old furniture & garbage. The room is disgusting. We found anti-depressants laying all over our desk.... They are probably complimentary for the filth! Bathroom is decent. Blankets are old, dated, ill-maintained with burn holes and tears. Absolutely horrible trip! Can't wait to go home

We hadn't stayed here for a couple of years, has undergone some changes, new flooring (wood), flat screens, wifi, renovated bathrooms, nice clean rooms all at a decent rate. Convenient location, can walk downtown, basic continental breakfast included, would stay again

Other hotels were booked, so we found a vacancy here. Average hotel with a good price -- & walking distance to downtown. No elevator, though. Lobby's on second floor, but you use stairs for first or third floors.

We weren't sure what to expect from this establishment, not being recommended by anyone, but were very pleasantly surprised. The exterior is very new looking and inviting. We had a non-water side room on the lobby level. The hallway was enclosed with windows, providing protection from the weather and traffic sounds. The room was super clean and updated in appearance.... More

This is our fourth stay and sadly despite renovations our least satisfying. We have been going there since it was the Meridian. This Hotel has always offer amazing value and good clean accomidations. Some much needed updates are being done. Unfortunately they were being done right over our heads. Drilling, hammering and even the fire alarm going off. Had we... More

On the second leg of our East Coast road trip we opted not to book accomodations ahead of time, but instead see what was available as we arrived in each town. As we entered Sydney we noticed the Martin Arms along the same stretch of road (the waterfront) that the other chain hotels were on. Knowing what the bigger name... More
