Although there's nothing really fancy about this motel, it is quiet, there. It's kept constantly clean! The staff is friendly, &will take time to chat with you. The restaurant, though not huge, is very comfortable & pleasant to dine in!

We had no problem with our stay at this hotel/inn. We were given waterfront rooms on the top floor and enjoyed looking out over the sea although not much was happening. The room was a decent size and we slept well. We enjoyed the free breakfast even if it was not a hot meal. The staff were very polite and... More

Stay there Sept 11 and 12 for business. The first thing I noticed was the very dated decor and the bizarre portrait that meets you as you enter the second floor. The room, at first, seemed clean enough until i noticed the dried blood on my pillow case. The continental breakfast was possibly the worse I have ever experienced and... More

My husband and I recently stayed two nights at The Martin Arms while in Sydney to attend a family funeral. Having read a number of reviews prior to booking, we found it more than adequate for our needs. Our water view room was compact but very clean and the updated bathroom favorably compared to chain hotels. The bed was above... More

Windows were replaced to have ones you can't open. Rooms still smells of the smoke of yesteryears - the furniture probably had the smell in it and a coat of paint doesn't do the trick. Your room will be connected to your neighbor, but that ability to open it is cut off by a 5-inch wooden slat over where the... More

The rooms here are compact. The linens and pillows need an update . Like ,it's not a bad room but compared to the nearby chain brands, it is almost not worth the savings . The worst is the common areas where there is need for a good cleaning, painting and something to get rid of the smoke smells . The... More

I had stayed here recently. I stayed on the top floor. When I had opened the door to my room (which doesn't open or close easily), I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the room was. Some of the furniture is dated and the head boards to the bed's reminded me of the old 80 style captain beds when I... More

Stayed here for a night during our eastern canada tour.wish we had longer. The rooms were great. We were on the same floor as reception and had the most amazing view from the hallway to the room. Rooms were spacious and clean and beds comfortable. Wifi was good as well :)

We are currently staying here and what a mistake! The hall is overrun with old furniture & garbage. The room is disgusting. We found anti-depressants laying all over our desk.... They are probably complimentary for the filth! Bathroom is decent. Blankets are old, dated, ill-maintained with burn holes and tears. Absolutely horrible trip! Can't wait to go home
