You could plunk a lean-to down in the beach village setting the Mcleods have and sell it for top dollar, the setting and location of the beach village is that good. We stayed in the cabin closest to the beach for a week and had an unobstructed view of the ocean and spectacular sunsets from the weathered Adirondack chairs on... More

Recently, we visited Inverness Beach Village for the first time. Our cabin was great – we lucked out and got a last minute cancelliation that had probably booked very well in advance – possibly the best cabin on the property, right next to the ocean. There was a little kitchen, essentially three bedrooms (pull out in the living room, double... More

If you like cabin with damp smell, to have view on a lot's of cabin instead of the sea, well this place is for you! No service, no products in the bathroom. The good point: you can hear the sea when you sleep, and the beach is nice. The water is warm enough to go in. I can't recommend this... More

We had stayed here as a family. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. I found the cabin to be a little bit dated. I found the smell in toward the sleeping area reminded me of a 1970's trailer smell. The cabin was extremely clean. I found it a tad bit small for what I am use to, and a little on... More

This is probably the nicest beach in Cape Breton. Especially if you like to swim as the water is in the Strait so warmer than the rest. But, needs garbage cans. Mostly because there is dog poop on the beach and people need a place to clean up after their pooches. I love dogs and want them to enjoy the... More

We were referred to the Inverness Beach Village at one of the welcome centers during our travels to the Cabot Trail. The hotel it self is very old and dated we stayed in the main lodge so I cant speak for the cabins. The pool and hot tub were really great, but the Village did not provide coffee or a... More

my husband and I stayed her the first week of July, originally only planning to stay 3 nights but after the first night changed our plans and the owner graciously accomodated us, We ended up staying an extra 2 nights. The beach was beautiful, swam every day. The cabin (#29) had a perfect ocean and sunset view. Other guests were... More

First and foremost, I am from Cape Breton, born and raised. When the snow melts and the sun comes out and the temperatures start to rise, I hit the roads and travel all over my beautiful island, staying at local hotels and eating in local restaurants. In other words, there is not a hotel or restaurant that I have not... More

Nice community, with cabins set up on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Each cabin has a deck, small kitchen, living room and variety of bedroom arrangements. Short walk down to beach, where we found lots of beach glass. Only complaint is that it was stifling hot in the cabin when we arrived (34 C!) -- they should have opened the... More

Stayed here for one night on the tail end of my trip around Cape Breton. Clean and well equipped for a self catering stay in an excellent location. Highly recommended. Location can't be beat if you enjoy walking the beach, sitting on your deck overlooking the ocean and watching the sunset with a friend and a chilled glass of your... More
