Nice community, with cabins set up on a bluff overlooking the ocean. Each cabin has a deck, small kitchen, living room and variety of bedroom arrangements. Short walk down to beach, where we found lots of beach glass. Only complaint is that it was stifling hot in the cabin when we arrived (34 C!) -- they should have opened the... More

Stayed here for one night on the tail end of my trip around Cape Breton. Clean and well equipped for a self catering stay in an excellent location. Highly recommended. Location can't be beat if you enjoy walking the beach, sitting on your deck overlooking the ocean and watching the sunset with a friend and a chilled glass of your... More

The staff were excellent and hard working as there are over 40 cabins, campers and tenters! Loved it so much we went back again! These are cabins! I always come prepared with soap, shampoo and Kleenex! Great sitting area, divided bedroom, small galley kitchen! Basic two burner counter unit, sink, small well working fridge! Basics frying pan, pots, utensils, plates... More

This is our favourite place to camp. Nicest beach on the island with lots of nice views, staff are very friendly and accommodating and we love the town.Great place to swim and if it's a cool day it's great to just walk the beach.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. We are no strangers to housekeeping cottages so, while dated, the cottages were quaint and cozy. There were plenty of linens and towels and if we wanted any more we dropped our soiled towels off at the laundry facility and simply exchanged them. There was a bar of soap but no... More

This was our 4th yr. in a row going there and we always had a pleasant experience. There was a family group of 34 and they were not accommodating to our party at all. We took our Shi-Tzu with us last year and no problem, all they did was complain about everyone's dogs and how we were going to be... More

A group of us stayed for one night on our trip around the cabot trail. The cottages were dated, and small like previous reviewers had stated. However, I found them to be clean, cozy and comfortable! They gave a warm rustic feel, they definitely aren't for people looking for an upscale place to stay. I wished we were staying longer... More

The cottages are clean and on the beach with views of the ocean, I guess I just prefer upscale accommodations when I travel. I knew when I booked I might not be ok with the cottage, but this was my choice. They have the best beach a short walk down a path and we like Inverness. I might not come... More

The location is spectacular, but the cottages are unbelievably small and poorly equipped. No Microwave, no oven, no barbecue; partial wall between a single bed and a double, and a curtain across the entry to the bedrooms. Had to fold the home made table in the "living room" up into the wall to pull out the sofa bed. Can't imagine... More

This property must have been built in the 1940's. It was so dated. There was also a "water" problem...the manager told us we would have to boil any water we drank. This was not told to us when the room was booked. Also, this is more of a place where if you wanted to hike, camp, and just fish, it... More
