Comfy and clean cottages with good sized fridge with small freezer, full cooker with oven and microwave. Lovely views from cottages and nice walk down to sea with opportunity to stroll along trans Canada trail and /or seaside shingle. Friendly owners. Internet in cottage 11 not brilliant speed but OK if you are not in a hurry - and who... More

We had a lovely stay in a cottage at Chisholm's of Troy. Clean, convenient, small is how I would describe the cottage. If poor weather would have kept my husband and I in, we would have been tripping over each other in no time. As we were mostly using it as a starting point for the week we spent in... More

We had a great one-night stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage had a very well-equipped kitchen (large grocery stores are 10-15 minutes away in Port Hawkesbury), great wi-fi, and best of all, the most comfortable and firm bed we had in our two weeks in Canada. If you like Celtic music, you can find it... More

I have to give a mixed review here. These cottages are fine, they are clean, nothing fancy, and the location is fine, and the owner James is a lovely man who gives wonderful advice on where to go and what not to miss on your travels. Having said that, he screwed up our reservation. My husband and I have been... More

My husband and I have stayed at the Chisholm's Cottages of Troy for 5 years every October. The location is along the famed Ceilidh Trail on Route 19 and central to many parts of the island. The cottages are clean, comfortable, well kept, quiet, and in a beautiful location. We always stay in a one bedroom cottage and they are... More

Cosy, comfortable cottages, with all the amenities you could need. Fireplace, TV, comfortable beds (even the sofa-bed was great), with nice sheets and towels. Kitchen includes coffee pot, kettle, tea pot, wine glasses, lots of dishes and pots and pans. Full-size microwave, stove and fridge. We bought our groceries at Superstore in Port Hawkesbury, it was just a short drive... More

I stayed at these cottages from Sept 11-24 and honestly can't say enough great things about the cottages. I was also very surprised to see a bad review on these cottages. The rooms are cleaned daily by very friendly staff. The views are amazing. The cottages have everything you need and more. James, the owner, also makes sure you are... More

The cottages are lovely. I read the previous review and was shocked because the cottage I sayed in had all brand new furniture including beds and was very clean! The living room was equiped with a fireplace for those romantic nights and the staff ensured that the cottages were cleaned on a daily basis. Yes, it is a 5 minute... More

The cottages overlooked a picturesque vista that calms city folks like me and my spouse. It was a place to getaway. There is no restaurant within walking distance so make sure you stock up before you drive up to the cottages. There's a Sobey's market you can get fresh meats you can grill at the cottage. The furniture is a... More
