After hearing about Cabot Shores and the wonderful weekend get-a-way package, I made a reservation for myself and a friend. We were fortunate to share a beautiful, clean & cozy chalet complete with woodstove! I had such a restful sleep and woke to the serenity of this lovely property. The main lodge has a big comfy area around the hearth... More

My wife and I stayed at the Cabot Shores for the Valentines Day weekend. We had a wonderful time! Only a 1 hour drive from Sydney; it seemed as though were were in a different world! When we checked in, Paul and Barbara (the owners) suggested that we drive up to Breton Cove to the the Kitchen Party at the... More

If you read all the reviews in the "average" and "poor" categories, they say everything we would say. Here is how we rated each category: Service: (Average) The owners are very nice people but could do better at adopting a more "Maritime" attitude towards their guests. We were left feeling nickle and dimed for everything. I wouldn't mind paying extra... More

One of the reasons I enjoy my visits to Cabot Shores, is that I have the pleasure of staying in one of their yurts. They provide a cozy shelter in secluded corners of the land at Cabot Shores. Staying in a yurt brings the experience of the land and sea much closer. One is surrounded by it, but protected enough.to... More

Came here with the sole intent of staying in the highly touted yurt. My gf and I are regular fall campers, and used to tent conditions. Things first got questionable when, feeling slightly under the weather after many long days of driving, I asked for a hot toddy. Instead I got a glass of cheap whiskey and water with a... More

I spent Christmas of 2010 at Cabot Shores in Nova Scotia. Upon arrival, you are immediately greeted by smiling faces and the excited bounce of resident pooch Cosmo. No matter what time of day or night, owners Paul and Barbara either have a hot meal prepared and waiting for you, or are willing to prepare one. The weather was mellow... More

I had the pleasure of being at Cabot Shores for their annual New Year's Levee. What a wonderful occasion for the local community and for guests alike! Cabot Shores opened its doors to visitors for a day of delicious food and great company. I met a variety of interesting people. The food was delicious and plentiful. At the end of... More

I was part of an employee training group that visited Cabot Shores in late August 2011 for a team-building retreat. We stayed in the farmhouse, which was cozy and comfortable - good bathroom facilities, comfortable beds, lots of space and silence and stars. Dr. Paul and his wife were wonderfully gracious and engaging hosts: we were treated like royalty. Both... More

Thank you for writing about your experience at Cabot Shores - it sounds as though the employee training was well balanced with some fun, a good meal, a concert and an outdoor adventure or two - the ferry to the beach really is a hoot! and swimming in the Atlantic off our beach is an awsome experience. Please do come... More

A group of us did our training/retreat at Cabot Shores and it was amazing. We used facilities at the main hotel and in the farmhouse where the 11 of us stayed. Dr. Paul and his wife were so lovely and interested in what we were doing, so helpful in providing us with what we needed, and such a wonderful introduction... More

In August 2011 I led a group of 10 employees on a retreat to Cabot Shores. Dr Paul and his wife were incredibly accommodating and always anxious to know what they could do to make our stay the best possible -- and it was! We received a warm a very warm welcome when we arrived, they showed us a number... More
