We did not stay at the Inn, we only did the tour and a dinner. Review: Good, not the best Service: very friendly and accommodating, yet in-experienced Food: good quality, not so good execution. (steak as the number one recommendation) ordered medium-rare, arrived medium-well. The lobster trio: the sushi part was "Inedible".. The other two bland taste. Wine list has... More

I was a yearly visitor to the Inverness and Mabou areas, and actually took the tour of the distillery in years past (and wasn't much to look at). I always stated that sometime in the near future I was going to try out the chalets on the hill. They looked so beautiful.... Well I did so on the evening of... More

We didn't stay here but had dinner. Got there too late for distillery tour but distillery store was open - bought a bottle of whiskey after sampling a few in the restaurant - it was pretty good but very expensive compared to just-as-good ones from Scotland. Food and service in restaurant were excellent. Do make reservations.

We didn't stay at the Inn as it was booked up for our dates, but had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. Good service. Excellent food. Dropped into the lounge for a drink after dinner, and the service there was a bit slow.

we had a wonderful stay in this gorgeous location. The pub and restaurant are very nice and food was terrific. The distillery tour was quite brief (20-30 min) but nice as it provides the history and context for the Inn. It also includes a taste of the whisky. Note: while the rooms were impeccably clean, they are very like many... More

I visited the Glenora Inn with my partner and a friend at the beginning of our journey around the Cabot Trail this summer. The inn is beautiful and tranquil. The gardens had beautiful flowers in bloom and the only sound was that of the fresh water stream that supplies the distillery. The rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable.... More

This is an exceptional property ideally situated to tour the Cabot Trail. We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn for three days. The food and service is excellent. Local talent performs each afternoon and evening in the pub/dining area. We went on a distillery tour, drove the Cabot Trail and visited many communities on our driving forays. Be... More

We stayed here one night while on our way back after touring the Cabot Trail. The rooms were clean and cozy, restaurant and pub were down stairs and live entertainment in the pub was great. Also took in tour of the distillery. Great place to relax and enjoy Cape Breton atmosphere.

This Inn is exceptional in many ways ... a beautiful Highlands setting, friendly staff, excellent food and luxury rooms in The Inn, all set in beautifully landscaped gardens. The pub features "down-home" music both afternoon and evening in a warm setting featuring a fireplace and a good selection of local beers. This is a must stop in Cape Breton!

We did not stay at the Inn, wish we had! We did the tour and then had lunch in the restaurant. The best seafood chowder that I have ever had and wonderful fish and chips. There was local musicians playing and the service was excellent. The tour of the distillery was very good and worth the time.
