The place is gorgeous and very quaint. The food at the pub was delicious - a bit pricey, but very very very good! The tours are a good price and very informative. I'm a big scotch drinker, and wasn't expecting much from a Canadian whiskey made in such a tiny distillery, but I actually found that the Glen Breton Rare... More

We stayed at the Glenora Inn in October 2014. Cabin 11 is a lovely 1 bedroom loft style chalet, it has a double pull out couch/lie low as well. We were greeted to a small pile of wood just inside the door for the stove, don't worry there is electric heat as well. The chalet was equipped with a small... More

I'll start by saying that the premises are absolutely lovely. But the 15 minutes I waited for the distillery visit, I was eaten alive by flies. Over 20 bites on my ankles alone. As for the visit, it was a waste of time. Maybe it's unfair to compare to a distillery visit I made in Scotland (Edradour, about the same... More

This place is something to see. We were there when the fall colors were out in full force and it was amazing. We weren't aware that you could stay there or we would have booked a nights stay. The scotch was great as well. Good on you Cape Breton

The Glenora Inn and Distillery is a short drive south of Inverness, Cape Breton on the Ceilidh Trail, in a remote setting which provides the clear cool waters necessary for the production of Canada’s only single malt whisky. As well as the distillery, there is an inn and a wonderful high end restaurant with an adjacent pub with 2 gentlemen... More

We were on our way to Pleasant Bay and wanted to stop at the Distillery for lunch and a taste of whisky made on the premises since we are single malt drinkers. The lunch was fine-chowder and a salad, although it was a bit pricey. There was also entertainment from 1-3 PM which was pleasant. We tried two different aged... More

We feel lucky we were able to stay at this establishment on our trip to Cape Breton at the end of the season. The setting is beautiful! We were able to go on a tour of the distillery. It was very informative, and my husband and I learned a lot, even though I am not a great whiskey drinker. We... More

Far in the north-west of Nova Scotia on Cape Breton, the only single malt distillery in the Americas, Glenora Inn, is a nice and cosy hotel in this other Scotland. Nice, large and clean rooms, continental breakfast (included) and a good restaurant, make a visit worthwhile if you happen to be in this region. We had some really nice live... More

My stay at Glenora was absolutely incredible. From the moment I drove onto the property. It was absolutely beautiful from the property, staff, chalet and meal. The view from the chalet is so beautiful looking out onto the rest of the property. It was very relaxing and so peaceful. The staff from the time I checked in and left were... More

The place was nice, clean, but overpriced for what you get. The tour was less then 10 minutes and the tour guide basically just read the information card and had nothing of value to add. I would not stay here again, once was more than enough. I will say the live music in the bar area after dinner was lovely.
