The grounds are beautiful, peaceful and very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The tour of the distillery was nice but the restaurant was fantastic. Tried all the whiskeys - best bang for the buck is the 15yr!

We had a great dinner here, some of the best cooking we experienced in Cape Breton. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The Distillery and accomodations are in a beautiful quiet setting. We stayed in a 1 bedroom chalet that was clean and comfortable With the exception of bed and bedding. The bed was small and HARD and the... More

A lovely venue - I could swear we were actually in Scotland! The main distillery building is an exact copy of the many Scottish distilleries we pass on our frequent trips north to Inverness. Lovely room, very comfortable but the 2 beds were too small to share so we ended up sleeping separately that night. We booked in for an... More

This was the perfect spot after a day exploring the Cabot Trail. Inn, distillery, restaurant, and bar with live Celtic music all under one roof. We arrived at 4:30, giving us time to check in and rendezvous for the 5pm distillery tour. The room was basic, but nice. Don’t expect the amenities of a 4+ star city hotel. We would... More

We were late arriving at Glenora, due to traffic by Port Hawkesbury, and were sure that the tours would be over since they went 2-5. We got there a few minutes after five, to find that the last tour was just getting started. Very interesting tour, and good to have a taste of their whisky. We then went to the... More

Made a last minute reservation. The room was large, clean and comfortable. After a long but wonderful day driving the Cabot Trail, it was a treat to be steps away from good food, good drink and great music. A special treat was a tune sung by one of the pub staff; she should be a regular.

We stayed at the Glenora on a Saturday night and after playing golf at the Cabot Links all afternoon we returned to the Inn expecting to have dinner at the dining room. No such luck, however, we were flatly refused as the dining room was full and we were told to try the adjoining pub. There was zero effort or... More

We chose to stay at the Inn, tour the distillery, dine and sample the single malts. The sight is gorgeous, nestled in a true glen with a sparkling brook dividing the property and providing the water for the whiskey. The whiskey comes in a range of ages, strengths and flavors, but though single malt, might not appeal to those, like... More

Given the price and 'mystique' of this place I expected quite a high level of comfort here; the inn and restaurant are very pleasant but quite expensive. I'm sure the rooms in the actual main hotel are probably fine, if expensive. However do not stay at one of the chalets on the hill; These are recommended for more than 2... More

We stopped here for lunch on the way to the Cabot Trail. Upon arrival, you know you have reached someplace special. The setting is very scenic, the buildings very attractive and the grounds well maintained. The food in the cozy pub is very well prepared and somewhat fancier than typically found in other places. The fish and chips were quite... More
