This place is something to see. We were there when the fall colors were out in full force and it was amazing. We weren't aware that you could stay there or we would have booked a nights stay. The scotch was great as well. Good on you Cape Breton

The Glenora Inn and Distillery is a short drive south of Inverness, Cape Breton on the Ceilidh Trail, in a remote setting which provides the clear cool waters necessary for the production of Canada’s only single malt whisky. As well as the distillery, there is an inn and a wonderful high end restaurant with an adjacent pub with 2 gentlemen... More

We were on our way to Pleasant Bay and wanted to stop at the Distillery for lunch and a taste of whisky made on the premises since we are single malt drinkers. The lunch was fine-chowder and a salad, although it was a bit pricey. There was also entertainment from 1-3 PM which was pleasant. We tried two different aged... More

We feel lucky we were able to stay at this establishment on our trip to Cape Breton at the end of the season. The setting is beautiful! We were able to go on a tour of the distillery. It was very informative, and my husband and I learned a lot, even though I am not a great whiskey drinker. We... More

Far in the north-west of Nova Scotia on Cape Breton, the only single malt distillery in the Americas, Glenora Inn, is a nice and cosy hotel in this other Scotland. Nice, large and clean rooms, continental breakfast (included) and a good restaurant, make a visit worthwhile if you happen to be in this region. We had some really nice live... More

My stay at Glenora was absolutely incredible. From the moment I drove onto the property. It was absolutely beautiful from the property, staff, chalet and meal. The view from the chalet is so beautiful looking out onto the rest of the property. It was very relaxing and so peaceful. The staff from the time I checked in and left were... More

The place was nice, clean, but overpriced for what you get. The tour was less then 10 minutes and the tour guide basically just read the information card and had nothing of value to add. I would not stay here again, once was more than enough. I will say the live music in the bar area after dinner was lovely.

Cape Breton Island has a marvelous whiskey distillery hidden away on a country road. Tour the excellent distillery, stay for your gourmet lunch, and enjoy purchasing something to take home. Plan to include Glenora when you travel to Nova Scotia!

We drove in the day before Thanksgiving at about 3:15 and proceeded to the pub. The grounds are pretty and the pub itself has a nice atmosphere. The restaurant was closed until 5 but the website says that the pub has food service all day. Well, we were informed that the pub menu was not available, but the appetizer menu... More

Stayed in a chalet here one night. Nice cottage nice view. Could have used a few upgrades but was nice. A suggestion is real milk creamers for coffee. Restaurant was nice. Good portions. Food was good. Staff great. Bar was fun. Tried scotch flights well worth it. Nice live music. Good atmosphere. Tour was good but would be nice if... More
