We stayed in the Hideaway Cottage, part of the Hideaway Campground. I cannot wait until we go back again! Charming inside, with four + bedrooms, and lots of room outside for a three year old to pretend he is Spiderman (you know how much room that requires), and 6 adults to duck the webs! We had Oysters from the market... More

My husband and I stopped here due to rain forecast for the night. We didn't want to tent out in the rain so I decided to find a cabin. The campground was fairly empty so they let us stay at one of the bigger cabins that can fit 5. the cabin is basic but clean. We got #6 which didn't... More

When we first pulled up, we didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised! The registration desk was also the "restaurant". it's not a real restaurant but food is sold there. The owner is at that office and quite a warm person! We learned that he is the actual oyster farm and the only producer of Aspy Bay... More

The view is wonderful. The facility is also good and clean. We were very happy with this campground. We stayed there for three nights. The owners were great. If we did not have that great oysters we had at prince Edward island, then this would have been different. Still the size were not all big, I wished they would keep... More

This campground is a short drive from most things on the Cabot trail! Camp in a tent, rv, or one of their cabins. I stayed in the lighthouse shaped cabin. Very nice. The view was spectacular. Fresh seafood can be bought at the camp office, to die for. It is so fresh. Owners are so friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for two nights on our tour of the Cabot trail. If Aspy Bay has oysters, this one is a pearl! We loved the view from our campsite over the ocean. Sharing crab legs caught that day and cooked just behind the camp office is an experience we won't forget. There is a lovely trail down to the... More

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this campground. Easy to find and the website is very informative. First thing I have to say. The bathrooms and showers were very very clean. Almost, brand new looking. I loved it. Hot water showers are pay as you go. 1 loonie gets you about 8-10 minutes, but bring another loonie just in case.... More

Hideaway Campground is a not so hidden gem right off the Cabot Trail near Dingwall and Neils Harbour Nova Scotia. We stayed with Hosts Susan & Alex form July 7th to July 13, and selected a large wooded camp site for our large tent and dining canopy which was located very close to the breathtaking cliff side view of an... Didn't stay at campground but my brother & gf did. They had a great spot. Nice clean bathrooms & showers. We did however stop by for a visit on our way around the trail. Meet the proprietor, great fellow :) Bought some oysters & had a few there, then brought 1/2 doz home. He shucked them for us. $2.25 each... More

We (like others) had read about the oysters and just had to go try some. We add our vote to those before us...they oysters were awesome. However, what was really memorable for us was the chance to chat with the owners. Fortunately for us, we had arrived right at lunch time--so the owner and his wife (and their visiting grandson)...
