This B&B is fantastic: not only is it close to Antigonish, but it is also minutes away from 4 different beaches (Malignant Cove, Livingstone Cove, Ballantyne Cove and Mahoney's Beach). The peaceful surroundings are breathtaking. We had the Beach Room (2nd floor) and felt quite spoiled: couldn't have asked for a comfier, cozier room! As for the food, the breakfast... More

We arrived quite late, but Victor was very gracious in greeting us and assisting us with our room. Oh, how I wish we had had more time! The room was lovely, opened up on to small sitting area with peaceful mountain views. We could have sat for hours! The entire b&b is very welcoming and beautifully decorated, but so peaceful!... Well, the Blue Tin Roof can't take credit for the beautiful weather we had June 18, after the gale at Peggy's Cove and the soggy fog at Truro. It was California clear and bright as we headed out to Cape George on Rte 245. We had a picnic at the Cape George Lighthouse in the waning afternoon sun, and there... More

Enjoyed our stay at the Blue Tin Roof B&B. Victor and Nadine were wonderful hosts. They were very warm and welcoming, lovely people to converse with, a really cool and unique home. We were there in the shoulder season and since it was slow we were given a free room upgrade. We had a great view of the mountains, and... More

After a week spent in Cape Breton I was lucky enough to visit with Victor and Nadine enroute back to Halifax. I could not have asked for a warmer welcome. The space is beautifully and thoughtfully crafted, cozy, with a traditional feel and modern conveniences. They are located a short walk to beautiful Livingstone Cove, and out my window I... More

Close to Antigonish, this lovely B&B provides spectacular views, gracious hosts, beautifully designed rooms and a warm and welcoming common area. The home is located close to many hiking trails and not far from town. We would strongly recommend it to anyone as an affordable getaway throughout the year. Waking up to a breathtaking snow-covered landscape from the warmth of... More

We were celebrating our 11th anniversary and just wanting to get away for the evening. The place was extremely clean, comfortable and, probably most of all, peaceful. I loved the style of it, it was sort of rustic with modern comforts. The hosts are the nicest people you could ever ask for. I felt completely at home even though it... More

I echo all the reviews so far. This was an accidental find for us and was the nicest B and B we have ever stayed in. We loved everything in this spectacular post and beam home... The cozy indoor space, the ever changing view of the valley. Breakfast was superb and Victor, the host, was attentive and great to talk... More

This was a stop off on our way from PEI to Cape Breton but as soon as we pulled up we wished we had been able to stay for longer! Victor welcomed us into the communal guest kitchen and seating area where we met a seriuosly nice and interesting Australian couple who we later enjoyed several glasses with. The house... More

This place is overlooking a gorgeous and vast treed valley and the road in and out is really stunning, like the best views from the cabot trail. It is obvious that a lot of careful thought and attention has gone into the construction of this cozy and modern bed and breakfast. There are two smaller rooms and one larger, all... More
