Close to Antigonish, this lovely B&B provides spectacular views, gracious hosts, beautifully designed rooms and a warm and welcoming common area. The home is located close to many hiking trails and not far from town. We would strongly recommend it to anyone as an affordable getaway throughout the year. Waking up to a breathtaking snow-covered landscape from the warmth of... More

We were celebrating our 11th anniversary and just wanting to get away for the evening. The place was extremely clean, comfortable and, probably most of all, peaceful. I loved the style of it, it was sort of rustic with modern comforts. The hosts are the nicest people you could ever ask for. I felt completely at home even though it... More

I echo all the reviews so far. This was an accidental find for us and was the nicest B and B we have ever stayed in. We loved everything in this spectacular post and beam home... The cozy indoor space, the ever changing view of the valley. Breakfast was superb and Victor, the host, was attentive and great to talk... More

This was a stop off on our way from PEI to Cape Breton but as soon as we pulled up we wished we had been able to stay for longer! Victor welcomed us into the communal guest kitchen and seating area where we met a seriuosly nice and interesting Australian couple who we later enjoyed several glasses with. The house... More

This place is overlooking a gorgeous and vast treed valley and the road in and out is really stunning, like the best views from the cabot trail. It is obvious that a lot of careful thought and attention has gone into the construction of this cozy and modern bed and breakfast. There are two smaller rooms and one larger, all... More

Vic and Nadine were fantastic hosts: very warm and welcoming! The house is a beautiful mix of old wood and new design. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was tasty and the hosts were very flexible with our meal and check-out times. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended Blue Tin Roof to other travellers!

This was our first night in Nova Scotia and it was a perfect start. Wonderful location and unique building (designed and built by the owners). Interior is decorated to a high standard and lovely furniture throughout. Victor + Nadine are great hosts, along with their cats and dog! Breakfast was lovely, with lovely views to take in whilst eating. Eateries... More

We had a very welcoming and comfortable stay in August at the Blue Tin Roof. My wife managed to leave her new watch behind, Victor and Nadine went the extra mile for us and following several emails the watch was returned this week via friends staying on PEI. We can thoroughly recommend staying in this friendly and comfortable house.

My wife and I stayed one night in the Lake room on the lower level. It was modern and very nice. The breakfast , the next morning, was great. Plenty to eat and the abundance of fresh fruit was a treat. Vic was a gracious host and very willing to discuss the building of the B&B. I wish we had... More

We booked a lower level room for a one-night stay on our road trip from the Bay of Fundy to Cape Breton. Victor was great, right from my initial phone call to book the room to the moment we had to continue on the road. Stayed in a lovely room with a walkout and chairs overlooking the hills and landscape.... More
