We were in Antigonish for the Highland Games. What a gem of a place. Wonderful accommodations. Owners put a lot of thought into the amenities. The room was comfortably decorated. Our hostess gave us great recommendations to restaurants and places of interest in the area. She was very helpful in giving us advise to make our highland games experience memorable.... More

The innkeeper doesn't miss a trick. We stayed a week at the Evergreen. As in the other reviews, we found the place super clean and convenient to Antigonish town and surrounding areas; the staff was friendly and accommodating. They provide a welcoming atmosphere and are excellent guides to the province and Antigonish County & countryside. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend... More

We spent 10 days in Nova Scotia for our 30 year anniversary / vacation. Our plan was to travel and see as much as we could, which meant a different town / motel every night. When we got to the Evergreen Inn though we decided to stay an additional night because of the excellent experience. Reading the other great reviews... More

Great facility with clean, spacious room, lovely view, and everything one could need—stove, refrigerator, microwave, DVD to play the free movies offered by the office, and fast free WIFI. Our hostess was delightful offering “on target” recommendations for dinner, and serving a delicious breakfast that included fresh blueberries and homemade scones. This was our third night of a week-long tour... More

Simply put it's their attention to so many details that ensure such a wonderful customer experience and make this such a great place to stay. Value wise definitely one of the best. They beat your expectations in all categories in terms of nicely furnished rooms, little extras, wonderful selection for breakfast to friendly and accommodating staff. If we are coming... More

Very clean and spacious, tastefully decorated. I am a bit OCD when it come to cleanliness of hotel rooms. I wipe everything, from hair dryers to light switches. Never go bare feet in the room. At the Evergreen, I was barefoot in my room!! Amenities were complete, slippers, robes, hair dryers, motion sensor night light, lint remover, ironing board, very... More

We stayed one night at the Antigonish Evergreen Inn and it was a wondeful experience. The room was very comfortable, with a fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker. The woman who checked us in was really nice and helpful, giving us some great suggestions for dinner in town. We had a restful night's sleep and the next morning we had one... More

I have to add to all the positive reviews of the Evergreen Inn. From the outside it doesn't look that special, just a clean motor inn: one story, cars parked outside door rooms, a bit outside of town. Inside, the rooms are like a very high-end Hyatt or Westin, with perhaps even more amenities: chocolates, bathrobes, slippers, lint brush, nice... More

This is a little off from the main roads, but well worth the detour. The rooms were large, spotless, and comfortable, with unexpected extras like bath robes. The owners had prepared a binder with information about the local area which was very helpful.
