Very enjoyable except for a prolonged fire alarm in middle of the night that receptionist did not know how to handle. Breakfast was good but the coupons, valued at $7, hardly covers a good start to the day.

Booked a one night stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean but outdated. Air conditioning wasn't working very well - room was cooler than it would have been without it, but certainly wasn't as cool as you would expect. Definitely overpriced for what you get, but that is common in rural NS. Biggest complaint about the hotel is the abysmal... More

We arrived at the Claymore Inn & Suites, Antigonish, Nova Scotia after a long day of touring and driving in beautiful Cape Breton. We did not have reservations. Nonetheless, we were warmly greeted and accommodated. The next morning, our car would not start. That is when the Claymore staff really came to our assistance by calling a local car service... More

We went to this hotel just for the pool. The lobby smelled like an old dusted house, and looked as one. The girl at the reception seemed to be half asleep. The pool itself had cloudy water, I decided against going in. The sauna was out of order, hot tub was supposedly working, although the jets were barely alive, only... More

Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel had a bit of old world charm but was in need of some upgrading as well.. The breakfast voucher was great as were the meals. The guest chairs in the room were stained and the bathroom was in need of an update and was dusty when we arrived. The GPS could... More

Okay, I am just a little perturbed by the overwhelming smell of damp in our room. My friends said they thought it smelled of stale beer. It's moisture damage, and the wall by my bed had proof. A lone dead fly on the window sill indicated the room had not been given a good once-over, since it's not time for... More

We were lucky and stayed in the suite which was handicapped friendly. The great part was that the floor was laminate wood so easy to roll my wheelchair. It had 2 rooms and a bathroom with accessible features. The staff was very pleasant. The included breakfast (voucher) was very good. The bed was a little hard though.

I stayed here while on a jobsite in Antigonish. The hotel itself is kind of dated especially the rooms I was in. The bedding, sofa and furniture seems out of the 70's but they served their purposes anyways. The bathroom was the spot that needed the most TLC as it was very dated. I was looking at staying in one... More

My wife and stayed at the Claymore in November of this year, The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room included a breakfast voucher at the Justamere Cafe next to the Hotel. The food was excellent. Although this is an older property the owners have made renovations and upgrades that have improved the visitor's stay. Overall very good accommodation... More

The Claymore Inn is a decent place to stay. The location is within walking distance of a few restaurants and a grocery store, and a breakfast voucher is included with your stay. The rooms are outdated and could be cleaner.
