My cousin and I stayed for a long weekend while visiting from Alberta, and never had any issues. The hotel is older, and a little dated, but we found it clean and welcoming none the less. We stayed there 3 nights and it almost equalled 1 night in halifax at the Marriott, where we payed $22 to park 94 cents... More

This inn / hotel is not a stunner, but it is clean, close to the highway but quiet, near a liquor store and a large grocery store. Helpful, friendly, and welcoming staff. ALSO has a great attached Cafe / Bistro

Fooled by photos, booked for a night for what was supposed to be a romantic getaway. Captain Obvious wasn't waiting for us in the room, he should have been. Toilet hadn't been properly cleaned, shower was streaked, rusty pipes and drains. Electrical outlet was right beside the shower. Really? Guess no building inspectors around. The 80s called, they want that... More

While the Claymore may not be the most cutting edge hotel in Antigonish, you can definitely see that upgrades are being made. Our room was clean, and the beds and pillows provided a good night's sleep. I really can't say enough about the staff. I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel where the employees were so friendly and... More

We heard it was dated but we weren't expecting soviet bloc! Yes it was clean, but it was more expensive than our hotel in Halifax - and it's in a suburban parking lot to boot! Sure if it was $100 or less we would have been fine - but they charge way more than that. Pluses - clean and friendly... More

Well this is the third time I have stayed here in the past 30 years and it hasn't changed. It has always been clean and comfortable, but dated. I knew what I was getting from the beginning and i got it. It may not be the best hotel of the trip, but it was clean comfortable and safe. The breakfast... More

Well it's like a dorm & very dated. Mold on the tub tiles. Cracked tiles with a hole in bath. Curtains cover up a/c vents. Restaurant is good next door. I failed to ck with Trip Advisor before I booked. I booked it based on a biker friendly hotel in a motorcycle tour guide book. Expensive for the quality.

I've stayed at the Greenway Claymore Inn 60-70+ weekends over the last 10 years. My Mon-Fri job has me travelling all over North America and my "for fun" weekend job of teaching people how to ride motorcycles takes me all over Nova Scotia. I typically work in Antigonish about 6-10 weekends per summer and I have always stayed at The... More

To begin, it took three phone calls to get my reservation correct, and even then I was not certain my room would be booked properly until I arrived. The young man at the desk when I arrived was very courteous, BUT the older woman working the desk the following day was dismissive and rude. Absolutely terrible customer service that will... More

It seems there have been several not so favourable reviews on here about this property. I had absolutely no issues with my stay. It was several years since I had stayed there last and the main change for me was the new laminate floor in the room. Really added to the look.. Very nice. I have three stars just because... More

Thank you so much for your honest and positive review. I am so happy that you like the new flooring that we have installed - it is a great feeling when our guests notice the efforts we make to improve and upgrade! Our hallways could use a "freshen up" as well and we hope to get to those soon. In... More
