Well this is the third time I have stayed here in the past 30 years and it hasn't changed. It has always been clean and comfortable, but dated. I knew what I was getting from the beginning and i got it. It may not be the best hotel of the trip, but it was clean comfortable and safe. The breakfast... More

Well it's like a dorm & very dated. Mold on the tub tiles. Cracked tiles with a hole in bath. Curtains cover up a/c vents. Restaurant is good next door. I failed to ck with Trip Advisor before I booked. I booked it based on a biker friendly hotel in a motorcycle tour guide book. Expensive for the quality.

I've stayed at the Greenway Claymore Inn 60-70+ weekends over the last 10 years. My Mon-Fri job has me travelling all over North America and my "for fun" weekend job of teaching people how to ride motorcycles takes me all over Nova Scotia. I typically work in Antigonish about 6-10 weekends per summer and I have always stayed at The... More

To begin, it took three phone calls to get my reservation correct, and even then I was not certain my room would be booked properly until I arrived. The young man at the desk when I arrived was very courteous, BUT the older woman working the desk the following day was dismissive and rude. Absolutely terrible customer service that will... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review here on TripAdvisor. I am sorry if you found the hotel price high for what was offered in the rooms. Our prices are comparable to others with our star rating and those in the area, and we also have the added features that you mentioned, like free WiFi, a pool... More

It seems there have been several not so favourable reviews on here about this property. I had absolutely no issues with my stay. It was several years since I had stayed there last and the main change for me was the new laminate floor in the room. Really added to the look.. Very nice. I have three stars just because... More

Thank you so much for your honest and positive review. I am so happy that you like the new flooring that we have installed - it is a great feeling when our guests notice the efforts we make to improve and upgrade! Our hallways could use a "freshen up" as well and we hope to get to those soon. In... More

Terribly plowed parking lot. The rooms are in no way close to 3 star level. Place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Not to mention it sits next to the worst mall in the maritimes. Do yourself a favor, go to Main Street and get a room at the maritime Inn.

Thank you for your review! We apologize for the poor shape of the parking lot - this winter, Antigonish has been hit HARD (like most of the Maritimes), and managing the different levels of ice and snow is very challenging. Our team is certainly doing it's best to keep the parking lot clear and safe for everyone. The mall next... More

Had to come to antigonish for an operation at St. martha's the room was spotless, clean, the pool was perfect and staff was AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Booked a weekend getaway in the summer while i was there. The Diner was flawless in both service and its food how it was prepped as well as presented.

Sad to say we paid a lot less for a lot better. No mini fridge, no microwave, tv didn't offer the channels we wanted to watch. No DVD player, and when they provided one it didn't work, Elevator was out of service,Parking lot was poorly plowed, and we were asked to move our car half way thorough breakfast and it... More

Dear Kathleen M, Thank you for your honest review. I would simply like to note that we offer many different room types - standard rooms, upgraded rooms, and rooms with the executive upgrade. Our upgraded rooms come with the option of a fridge, or a fridge and a microwave. I suppose you either turned down the option of the upgrade,... More

Stayed with a group for a local tournament. The rooms were adequate for our needs & would recommend the hotel to other groups looking a convenient place to stay in Antigonish. The front desk addressed noise complaints efficiently. Would return without hesitation.

I am sorry to say the night spent at the Claymore was very poor. It began with finding clothes in the dresser, next the hard beds and awful pillows, followed by other guests running and slamming doors until the early hours of the morning. Also people yelling the parking lot. We had to get up early for a workshop with... More
