I am sorry to say the night spent at the Claymore was very poor. It began with finding clothes in the dresser, next the hard beds and awful pillows, followed by other guests running and slamming doors until the early hours of the morning. Also people yelling the parking lot. We had to get up early for a workshop with... More

Super rooms, clean, 4.5 star hotel with restaurant on site. Wifi not very fast but I guess when on vacation you only have time on your hands. Centrally located on Church Street besi de the Antigonish Mall. T hey share the same parking lot. Short drive down to Main Street where you have a good assortment of shops and restaurants.... More

Arrived in Antigonish after a long day on the road of doing the Cabot trail on the motorbike. Was pleased to find very friendly and helpful staff and the extremely comfortable beds were greatly appreciated. Had the best breakfast of my entire trip in the adjoining restaurant.

Very enjoyable except for a prolonged fire alarm in middle of the night that receptionist did not know how to handle. Breakfast was good but the coupons, valued at $7, hardly covers a good start to the day.

Booked a one night stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean but outdated. Air conditioning wasn't working very well - room was cooler than it would have been without it, but certainly wasn't as cool as you would expect. Definitely overpriced for what you get, but that is common in rural NS. Biggest complaint about the hotel is the abysmal... More

We arrived at the Claymore Inn & Suites, Antigonish, Nova Scotia after a long day of touring and driving in beautiful Cape Breton. We did not have reservations. Nonetheless, we were warmly greeted and accommodated. The next morning, our car would not start. That is when the Claymore staff really came to our assistance by calling a local car service... More

We went to this hotel just for the pool. The lobby smelled like an old dusted house, and looked as one. The girl at the reception seemed to be half asleep. The pool itself had cloudy water, I decided against going in. The sauna was out of order, hot tub was supposedly working, although the jets were barely alive, only... More

Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel had a bit of old world charm but was in need of some upgrading as well.. The breakfast voucher was great as were the meals. The guest chairs in the room were stained and the bathroom was in need of an update and was dusty when we arrived. The GPS could... More

Okay, I am just a little perturbed by the overwhelming smell of damp in our room. My friends said they thought it smelled of stale beer. It's moisture damage, and the wall by my bed had proof. A lone dead fly on the window sill indicated the room had not been given a good once-over, since it's not time for... More

We were lucky and stayed in the suite which was handicapped friendly. The great part was that the floor was laminate wood so easy to roll my wheelchair. It had 2 rooms and a bathroom with accessible features. The staff was very pleasant. The included breakfast (voucher) was very good. The bed was a little hard though.
