My husband and I stayed at the beautiful Bailey House over Canada Day. Our fabulous room overlooked the water and the lovely gardens at the front where you can sit in the colourful adirondack chairs and enjoy a glass of wine. Suzan is delightful and laid back. She is friendly, casual, very knowledgeable and helpful in things around this historic... More

From the moment we crossed the threshold the owner Suzan made us feel very welcome and at ease. She was friendly and relaxed, laid back and charming and so was Lucy the house dog! Our terrific room with water front view was comfortable and the charm of this lovely heritage building with sloping floors was not undermined by the modern... More

We stayed for 2 nights and it was a welcome and comfortable retreat after a busy few days of long drives in the Cape Breton area. We did read in previous reviews that Suzan's attitude can be off putting particularly upon arrival and this was the case as we had the impression we weren't expected even though we had booked.... We stayed here three nights. The inn is beautifully decorated in true historical fashion. Suzan has an amazing garden and cooked fabulous breakfasts all three days. Gorgeous view of the water. Within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. And Susan made some great recommendations for dinner . It was all just perfect! P.S. Cute dog, too

The Bailey House offers beautiful decor, a most welcoming hostess, an extremely comfortable bed, lovely en suite bathroom, a peaceful setting, a delicious breakfast (the best granola!!) and just a great overall package. The house, which has been tastefully, and appropriately furnished, and the town, deserve a couple or more days exploring, and I plan to return. I cannot believe... More

Built in 1770. Beautiful room - best place we stayed in NS. Owner a charming host. Fantastic breakfast and most historic town in NS - possibly in Canada. Go there. Stay here. Great dining options just down road.

We have spent numerous get-away weekends in Annapolis Royal, a community full of activity, culture, and history. And, we are always delighted to stay at the Bailey House B&B; so much so that we recommend it to our friends. It's warm and inviting, beautifully appointed, and the gourmet breakfasts are the icing on the cake! If you want a genuinely... More

My dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bailey House. We stayed in the Coach House; its two-bedroom setup was perfect and the quality of finishes/furnishings rivaled that of any upscale, boutique hotel. We loved the waterfront location as much as the fact that we could easily walk pretty much anywhere in Annapolis Royal. Suzan is a great... More

This historic B&B overlooks the water in this little town. It has plenty of seating in the garden where one can sit and drink in the beautiful view. I have to agree with previous reviewers that Suzanne's attitude can be off putting particularly upon arrival - such that I wondered if we were not expected and had arrived at the... More

This charming Bed and Breakfast unfortunately has a less than charming owner. Susan exudes NO warmth and gives the guests the feeling that her Bailey House is strictly business. Her attitude was very off-putting as were her highly touted feather beds that DEFINITELY needed to be restuffed. My husband and I booked the most desirable room and had to position... More
