We had booked a two night stay at the Bread and Roses Inn in Annapolis Royal, NS. Their website was well designed except for one thing, apparently they omitted the part where kids are not welcome. After driving almost 500km we entered and were "greeted" by Jim who looked at our 2 year old daughter like she was the anti-Christ... More

The look on my face was one of surprise that there was a child. The room in question, a king size feather bed, is double or single occupancy only and we did not know that they were bringing their daughter. We do have rooms that can accommodate more than two persons, however these were being renovated (painted) at the time.... More

Spent one night at this hotel walking distance to restaurants and seafront but we were so tired from our long drive from Halifax so took the car downtown. Hotel provided us with great breakfast which we enjoyed immensely. We were served with scones shaped like somosas, that i relish the taste and the owners wife, said it had orange fruit... More

My spouse and I got to spend one night in Annapolis Royal during a too-brief 5-day tour of southwestern Nova Scotia. We chose Bread and Roses after perusing reviews and reading the website message about how the name was chosen. We are so glad we stayed here! What a fine, beautifully crafted inn, within close walking distance of dinner, Fort... More

Upon arrival you see that beautiful 19th century house surrounded by a quiet garden where you feel at home. Owner greets you with warmth and suggest you what to see and where to eat. We had a room on 3rd floor (no elevator) that was not huge but cosy. Free WiFi. We would have spent a whole week there to... More

It was the most beautiful house I have every stayed in and the most beautiful bedroom - it felt so special. We had a large four poster bed with a lace canopy, wonderful furniture and a smart elegant bathroom, I didn't want to leave. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and the breakfast room itself was... More

Everything you'd want in a B&B. Photos don't do it justice. Wonderful history to the place and the owners were extremely accommodating. Wish we had planned more time in Annapolis Royal as there was much to do and see. Breakfast at this B&B was a delight.

My wife and I recently stayed at the fantastic B&B at the beginning of our drive around NS. This was by far one of the best B&B's we stayed at during our time in NS. We had room #1 very nicely appointed King Bed, very spacious and clean. Our hosts were very friendly and joined our breakfast table to chat... More

We stayed 3 nights in September at this beautiful historic B & B. The overall property is amazing and our Room #1 was the most beautiful room I have ever seen in a B & B. The canopied bed was luxurious and all the furnishings were antiques of the highest quality. The breakfasts were great and the hosts helpful and... More

Spent two nights in this lovely Inn. Had the privilege of sleeping in the four poster bed - what a great nights sleep in a very comfortable room. The breakfast was also well presented. Would highly recommend the Bread & Roses Inn - Nova Scotia.
