My family with son, age 10, had a memorable stay in June, 2015. The host, Gaya, was unbelievable hospitable, not only serving a delicious breakfast each morning, but twice going out of her way to help us with local information gathering and reservations, so that we could enjoy ourselves with local attractions between bouts of rain. This lovely Victorian B&B... More

My family and I had booked a cottage with another B&B close by but had unfortunately assumed that all five us would be allowed to stay, which wasn't the case. Fortunately, we found the main room available to accommodate the kids and I at Bread & Roses Inn and what initially seemed as an unfortunate inconvenience turned into a stroke... More

Unfortunately we only stayed here for one night - our loss!! From the moment we arrived until we left, Jim and Gaya's hospitality and attention to detail was without equal. Nothing was too much bother with great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Our room (no 1) was wonderful, charming and very comfortable with a great bed... More

My husband and I recently spent one night at this charming Victorian B&B in beautiful Annapolis Royal and wished that we could have stayed longer. The inn is expertly run by hosts Gaya and Jim who clearly understand the hospitality business. Tastefully furnished with antiques from the period, but without a sense of visual overload, the inn feels more like... More

Wow is about all we can say about our stay at Bread and Roses in beautiful Annapolis Royal. A visit there is like turning back the clock to the 1800's! Our hosts Gaya and Jim treated you like one of their family. We particularly enjoyed sharing a bottle of the local wine in the front garden with Gaya as she... More

Our third wonderful stay at this elegant B&B in Annapolis Royal. Our hosts, Jim and Gaya greeted us like old friends. We feel right at home here, and enjoyed delicious breakfasts with other guests, lingering at the table with wide ranging conversation. Our stay this time was in Room #1 with bay windows, enormous feather bed, and small but very... More

Spent the last week-end there. Am telling my friends and family to go. The historical detail in the house itself is an experience An excellent, full breakfast included in the price. Attention to elegant presentation. The owners are attentive, friendly and informative. An easy walk to the museum and the main street.

We both agreed this was the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Hosts are delightful, rooms are quiet, comfortable, well-appointed, and breakfast was wonderful. We would come back to Annapolis Royal just to stay in this inn again, it is that good.

We had booked a two night stay at the Bread and Roses Inn in Annapolis Royal, NS. Their website was well designed except for one thing, apparently they omitted the part where kids are not welcome. After driving almost 500km we entered and were "greeted" by Jim who looked at our 2 year old daughter like she was the anti-Christ... More

The look on my face was one of surprise that there was a child. The room in question, a king size feather bed, is double or single occupancy only and we did not know that they were bringing their daughter. We do have rooms that can accommodate more than two persons, however these were being renovated (painted) at the time.... More

Spent one night at this hotel walking distance to restaurants and seafront but we were so tired from our long drive from Halifax so took the car downtown. Hotel provided us with great breakfast which we enjoyed immensely. We were served with scones shaped like somosas, that i relish the taste and the owners wife, said it had orange fruit... More
