This inn is located centrally in Annapolis Royal, and is supposed to have a good restaurant. I wouldn't know. I showed up about an hour before published check in and the staff very rudely shooed me away. When I returned a couple of hours later it was only to find they had no record of the reservation I'd made 2... More

Changed our plans last minute. Staff worked very hard to get us two rooms. Rooms were very clean organized and roomy. Had dinner at the restaurant. Had the haddock. They even made up something for my very picky children! Overall amazing service, rooms, and food! They even made up some muffins and fruit for us when we had to leave... More

This is one of the best (most enjoyable) stays in N.S, It is a beautiful building, wonderful rooms. The restaurant has excellent food and chef. The location is the best (within walking distance of almost everything) I can't wait until the next visit.

A charming, historic inn, in which we had a spacious, quiet and very well appointed suite. Both the breakfast and dinner were excellent, prepared by our charming host, Pat Redgrave, and served by his unfailingly cheerful staff. Very well placed in the centre of town, so that almost all of the attractions are within easy walking distance.

We stayed at the Garrison House early last summer and vowed to return. Having just checked out, I can say without hesitation that the experience was even more sublime this time around. While the rooms do not fit into the cluttered, overstuffed Victorian category they are clean, charming, and elegant in their simplicity. The staff were kind and unfailingly helpful... More

This is a nice old style inn close to all the sights in town. The restaurant was excellent with a varied menu and the food well presented. A good sized parking lot at the back allowed off street parking. Very friendly staff. Overall a pleasant experience and I would certainly go back when I am in the area again.

This lovely inn is well situated for exploring the town. We received a pleasant welcome when we arrived and the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We particularly enjoyed the excellent dinner that we had there in the covered veranda. It was nice to have off street parking as well.

We stayed just one night in this lovely inn, right across from the major tourist site in Annapolis Royal, an old British fort. The room was clean, comfortable and full of charm, and the food was worthy of the best any large city has to offer in a town of 800 people. In addition, waitstaff were full of warmth and... More

My wife and I stayed at the Inn in July 2013. It is a nice 19th century wooden building and well positioned in this charming old town, but when we arrived, as commented by another reviewer, there was no real welcome. A far as I know we never met the owner. We were told our room was on the top... More
