We spent 2 lovely nights in this bed and breakfast. It is a beautifully kept historic house with extensive grounds. The room was very nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. Perfectly located just a few blocks from the fantastic Historic Gardens and town center. The generous breakfast started with freshly baked muffins and was followed by a choice of eggs/bacon etc.... Perfection. Each room is decorated differently with beautiful antiques. Plenty of sitting areas inside and out. Grounds well maintained. Staff and owners very friendly, go out of their way to be helpful. Food homemade by owners to drool over. Thoroughly enjoyed.

We stayed at the Hillsdale House a few weeks ago and it was great. From start to finish it was everything we expected from a top end B&B. Clean, Friendly and very helpful with the restaurants and things to do in town. We did the grave yard tour and highly recommend it. Be warned though there are Mosquitos about. The... More

As we stay in scores of hotels every year I decided to devise a template of the features we feel are most important and concentrate on those: Room number, floor, size? Room 4, top floor, very spacious room Bed – comfortable? Yes – lovely big king-size bed with deep mattress and squishy topper – shame it has a blanket instead... More

This spectacular B&B keeps it's Victorian era designs with modern amenities. Exactly what I hoped for from this B&B. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious, and beautiful. The staff makes an amazing breakfast, and you are not left wanting. Definitely take a peek at their gardens if you're looking for a photo op, as they... More

We enjoyed our two night visit to the Hillsdale House Inn. We stayed in room 14, which is actually located in the carriage house attached to the inn. It was perfect for us and we enjoyed being off by ourselves. The breakfast consisted of homemade muffins and jams, coffee or tea, juice and a choice of main course. (eggs, bacon/ham,... More

Firstly, Hillsdale House Inn is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I love the spacious grounds and antique-filled rooms. Val and her staff are friendly and provide excellent service, not to mention delicious breakfasts. I'm not sure which was better: the French toast made of home-baked bread, the buttermilk blueberry pancakes or the bacon & eggs. All fantastic! As I was... More

Spent two nights here and we were really sorry to be moving on. Such friendly helpful staff, nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was all home prepared and cooked. Breads, muffins etc. Rooms were as far as I could tell all different. The bed in ours felt large enough to cross time zones. Thank you so much for a wonderful... More

Had a lovely visit; very hospitable hosts, lovely gardens, beautiful historic home with lots of victorian furniture and decor, pet friendly and they had no problem with gluten free.. scenic spot, lots to see in the area. especially if interested in historical areas. Will return again for another weekend in the near future.
