This is a beautiful, gracious B&B. It is a large, beautifully maintained house. They just have two rooms for guests. We were a party of 4 with my brother and sister in law and it provided us with lots of space. Our hosts were attentive, and welcoming. To sum it up, Tulip Tree is a gracious B&B with gracious hosts.... More

The room was well-appointed and the breakfasts were tasty. Sue and Ted were very helpful in providing information and recommendations. There are several B&B's nearby, but I doubt that any of them could have been any better. My only disappointment was that the location was not as close to the downtown area as expected. While many Victorian homes are within... More

We appreciate it very much when our guests take the time to review our B&B and we are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. For clarification purposes, our B&B is only a 5 min. walk from the nearest attraction (the Historic Gardens) in town so it is not a difficult walk unless someone has mobility issues. We... More

This is a lovely B&B, the host could not have been any nicer or helpful. They gave us suggestions for dinner, points of interest in the area and other areas. The room was spacious and welcoming. the sitting room was a great addition. The breakfast was great tasting and delicious.

We were delighted with the Tulip Tree Bed and Breakfast. Ted and Sue were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in the room with the sun porch where we spent a lovely couple of afternoon hours reading and enjoying the back gardens. Breakfast was delicious and our room was beautifully decorated. What more can you ask?

The hosts are awesome people and so helpful. The room is huge, massive bathroom with a great bathtub and double sinks. Perfectly located, quiet and welcoming. We had to catch an 8 am ferry so the owners made us a hot breakfast to go at 6 am.

Ted & and Sue are marvellous hosts and offer superb hospitality within their splendid period property. Whilst set within a tranquil location, we too arrived in the wake of Hurricane Arthur which had caused extensive damage throughout Nova Scotia in general and Annapolis Royal in particular. Mindful that no Restaurant facilities were available within reasonable travelling distance,Ted & Sue very... More

We stayed here 6 years ago and it was the first on our list of places to stay on a near repeat tour of Nova Scotia. Luckily Ted & Sue are still the hosts and it is still an immaculate period property with sumptuous bedrooms in which to finish a hard days travelling-sightseeing. We arrived in the wake of hurricane... More

We recently stayed at the Tulip Tree for a 2 night stay while in town for a wedding. There is only one word that can be used to describe out stay...outstanding. The owners, Sue and Ted, take great pride in their home and every detail is there...luxurious bedding, spring water in the room, fluffy towels, convenient location to walk into... More

Our getaway weekend was a gift from our four daughters for a combination of Mother's & Father's Day which they renamed "Parent's Day". It was truly a wonderful weekend. Sue and Ted Ashdown, the proprietors ot The Tulip Tree Inn, were, by far, the most friendly hosts one could hope for. The breakfasts were inventive, well served and extremely good.... More
