Ted & and Sue are marvellous hosts and offer superb hospitality within their splendid period property. Whilst set within a tranquil location, we too arrived in the wake of Hurricane Arthur which had caused extensive damage throughout Nova Scotia in general and Annapolis Royal in particular. Mindful that no Restaurant facilities were available within reasonable travelling distance,Ted & Sue very... More

We stayed here 6 years ago and it was the first on our list of places to stay on a near repeat tour of Nova Scotia. Luckily Ted & Sue are still the hosts and it is still an immaculate period property with sumptuous bedrooms in which to finish a hard days travelling-sightseeing. We arrived in the wake of hurricane... More

Our getaway weekend was a gift from our four daughters for a combination of Mother's & Father's Day which they renamed "Parent's Day". It was truly a wonderful weekend. Sue and Ted Ashdown, the proprietors ot The Tulip Tree Inn, were, by far, the most friendly hosts one could hope for. The breakfasts were inventive, well served and extremely good.... More

We enjoyed our stay so much. Hosts Sue and Ted made us feel very welcome, gave us recommendations for dinner and lots of information about Annapolis Royal which is a beautiful town full of history. We stayed in Marie's retreat which has a sun room attached. It is beautifully furnished with many added touches..robes, heated floor in bathroom. There is... More

Gracious hosts. Breakfast was delicious and very generous. Great tips on walking throughout the town and dinning as well. Excellent... More

We stayed at this bed and breakfast which is located in the lovely historic town of Annapolis Royal. Our room was beautifully decorated in antique furniture and had a large bathroom complete with shower stall and jacuzzi . The floor was heated making it warm and inviting. The breakfast was home made and delicious, the hosts friendly and helpful. We... More

A business trip provided a great opportunity to stay at the Tulip Tree Bed and Breakfast. I was looking forward to staying in Elizabeth's Hideaway to indulge in the whirlpool tub and a relaxing evening - my expectations were exceeded. The B&B is a lovely property with a great history and Sue and Ted are extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast... More

We had already imposed on Sue and Ted by asking them if we could stay with them in the midst of their attempt to wind down for a busy holiday season of their own. Then we decided to drive across the province in one of the worst snow storms of the season. So they had to shovel - many times... More
