What an amazing place to stay in such a small town, it was magical to say the least. There was a massive winter storm moving through the area the night of our stay, which made for a perfect opportunity to turn on the fireplace and snuggle in for a romantic evening. Upon making my reservation staff recommended a place to... More

Trip Advisor didn't show this place on the map. I kept driving past Shelburne to Barrington Passage which had no hotels, motels or cottages. I drove 36km back to Shelburne town to see if there was any vacancies. This place is very nice place to stay in while traveling in Shelburne County during winter.

Thanks so much for your kind review. I am sorry for the confusion as to our location, however the map is showing accurately for me. Now that you know where we are, we hope you will stop by again next time you find yourself in the area. More

Extremely accommodating and friendly service! Originally had a double room booked for two nights, and we were upgraded to a beautiful cottage for the same price as nobody was booked in it! Definitely plan on returning

Quiet, clean and cosy.....three words to describe my little stay at MacKenzies.....booked a room for a two night stay while in Shelburne for work, upon arrival I was informed I was upgraded to a cottage.....what a pleasant surprise! Cottage was cozy and clean.......the bed was sooooo comfy! Nice 15 min walk into town to see the sites and the waterfront.... More

Not a lot of choices in Shelburne but Mackenzie's is clean and the breakfast was very good. They are growing by buying another property just down the street. Room was clean. Took a little bit to figure out the A/C/heat unit. 15 minute walk into town.

My wife and I stayed at Mackenzie's recently and found it to be a good experience. The room was clean and in good condition as was the exterior. The service was friendly and the breakfast next morning was very good. Would recommend this motel and cottages to anyone.

Mackenzie's Motel was wonderful - very, very clean which is our number one requirement. The owners, Jim and Sandra, were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast, (so good), included hot, home made muffins and tea bisquits, fruit, toast, hot hard boiled eggs, etc. It was prepared in a bright little room from which you could overlook the pool - a great... This is not a fancy Victorian house spa hotel. It is not a resort. It is not a chain hotel with predictable appointments. This is a family-run motel which offers three types of accommodation: motel room, a couple of suites in the main building, or cottages. We stayed in a suite and were very comfortable. There was a large comfy... More
