I actually write on behalf of my cousin who enjoyed the excellent service delivered at this beautifully restored and well maintained property situated on Shelburne's waterfront. I have to say the proprietors ensure a value for money luxury stay-- and leave no stone unturned. -- excellent breakfast, friendly professional atmosphere and accomodation which is among the best I have experienced... My husband and I stayed at this B&B for one evening. We stayed in an upstairs room and the photo made it look small. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised that it was not that small at all - it was sparkling clean and very nice. There was even a hand written note from the hostess welcoming us. Breakfast... My wife and I stayed here for one night during our holiday in Nova Scotia. The Inn, and indeed the town of Shelburne, have a wonderful sense of history. The Inn is beautifully furnished and the breakfast was delicious. Our hosts were most gracious and accommodating. Our room, the Thomas Crowell Room, had wonderful views of the waterfront and the... Quiet, calm, life beyond the ordinary. That's how we think of Shelburne and Shelburne County. Add the view to the comfortable room plus a hearty breakfast to launch the day and it makes many simply want to stay. Thank you for your thoughtful comments. We do enjoy meeting and greeting so many wonderful guests in our home. More

Our guests are welcomed as family. Good food and conversation always make family visits more memorable. Shelburne Calm is virtually a trademark of all things Shelburne. At The Coopers Inn we're proud of that relationship. More

We stayed one night on a tour of Nova Scotia. We had a small room, but it was very comfortable, and the location was quiet enough to sleep with the windows open to take advantage of the breeze from the sea. All the guests were invited to a welcome drink in the garden, which was a nice idea. The breakfast... More

At one time there was a sign posted in the Inn that often had the 'dot' mistaken for a 'knot' in the wood. It's not here at this time yet the flavor is one many guests savor. "Shelburne.calm" Or alternatively 'Shelburne DOT Calm" Thank you for your kind comments. More

Coopers Inn is an historic building made comfortable by perfect hosts. All you could ever want from B&B. They even invite guests to a sundowner glass of wine in the garden. The location is perfect and all of the attractions are easily walkable.

Shelburne is a wonderfully walkable town and with a self guided walking tour brochure in hand you can walk at your speed, whatever that may be. Our social hour each day (between 5&6 PM) never ceases to amaze us. Connections are made among guests and hosts as well. It's a time we look forward to each day. More

We came from Portland, Maine on the ferry to Yarmouth and thought that Shelburne would make a good stopping point for our first night in Nova Scotia. Good choice! Our room was cozy and very clean. Our beds were a little lumpy and uncomfortable, I can not say what the other room's beds were like. The owners were lovely people and we enjoyed our chats with them during our 3 night stay. If you are looking for a quiet town, a spot on the water in a historic building,... More

Thank you for pointing out the bed issue. Over the past 2 seasons we've replaced nearly every bed. All of them will have been replaced before the beginning of next season. In the meantime we've temporarily resolved the issue with a change of bed padding/protectors. We do want every experience visiting The Coopers Inn to be positive. Help pointing out... More

We stayed one night at the Cooper's Inn on our tour of Nova Scotia. We had a nice glass of wine on arrival and enjoyed meeting other guests. While we don't often witness those hot days that are followed by hot nights, they occasionally happen. Generally the cool ocean breezes make the evenings comfortable. More
