Even though Arden B&B is at the very west end of Yellowknife, downtown is a short, easy bus ride with two bus stops within a couple of minutes' reach. One bright evening I even walked the whole distance from the museum along the lake, a wonderful experience. I walked to the grocery and the stationery stores (within the area of... More

Ian the owner, went beyond what would be expected of such an establishment. My first night because I seemed like a lost soul he invited me up to have Easter dinner with him and his family. I immediately felt part of the group. After a week staying at this B&B I continue to feel welcome and have had some wonderful... More

Ian is a very nice person, he does his best to provide guests with a smooth stay. Even in a hurry to do all the activities we had some moments to talk a bit and he told me interesting stories and gave me valuable suggestions. Under a -40 cold, he was amazing lending me some winter clothes. The place is... More

My boyfriend and I have stayed two nights in this B&B. Our room is large and clean with private washroom. Ian,the host ,is super friendly and he is always available to provide travel tips and help. There is a great variety of self-served breakfast including bagel, cherry pie, muffin, cereal, fruit etc. We can prepare our dinner in the large... More

I've had the previledge of staying at Arden's Bed and Breakfast twice and my wife has had the pleasure of staying there once and I must say that I am very impressed with Ian's dedication to his B&B and especially his concern for all of his guests. He always takes the time to say hi and to inquire about any... More

I like to think of B&B's as all about the hosts, which is why I usually book one. This B&B to me was more like room & board. It seemed almost every room in the house was rentable space. Breakfast was continental with purchased pastries - but there was fruit and cereal and bagels and the like, so there was... More

Very comfortable and quiet location. Ian, the owner, was always available for any requests and did his best to take care of everything we asked for. We felt right at home and took advantage of the guest fridge and dining area, as well as the large TV - with a great variety of channels. A good place to relax, with... More

feel like staying at a friend's place instead of in a B&B. Ian run this B&B very professionally and tries hard to make the guest feel comfortable. This experience definitely raise my bar for a B&B next time.

We stayed at the Arden B&B for three nights and I have no complaints. The room was clean and warm, Ian served a continental style breakfast in the common area every morning and we could come and go as we pleased at all hours (which is important when you are heading out in the middle of the night to watch... We stayed a week. The temperature was minus 35C. On arrival we were offered a heavy duty electrical cord to plug in our truck. The room had a comfortable queen bed and lots of closet space and full bath. Each morning hot coffee and tea was ready followed by a nice breakfast. The house was clean and warm. Each night... More
