Where do I start? My "non smoking" suite smelled of stale smoke when I checked in. The carpet was filthy, the framed picture over the bed had burn marks on it. Stayed in a separate building that had Kitchens in it as we (21 of us) were staying for 3 weeks. There was now maid service! We were all told that "they were short handed and couldn't hire anyone." We were stranded in Yellowknife after First Air overshot Rankin Inlet for the 4th time in a week. We arrived in Yellowknife after a very long drive from Grande Prairie. We walked in and asked if they had any rooms available and were told yes. We found the room very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was polite if not friendly at the front desk. Restaurant was good. more
I arrived with no pre knowledge of this hotel and was staying on business. They didn't have a room available in the main building so they sent me across the street to their newer 3 story building.
