I too found some staff to be uninterested however other staff where accomodating. Room was comfy and had good sleep. The breakfast is average super 8. However it is annoying that the business centre is not 24 hours however it is open till midnight. The location is good as it is near Walmart , extra foods, and some other stores... More

This hotel is just OKAY: the rates are reasonable, the rooms are clean and comfortable. BUT it seems like no-one really enjoys working at this hotel. There are not many smiles, no laughter, no conversing with the guests. The overall atmosphere is "dead" .. like people are just going through the motions .. busy doing their jobs .. but forgetting... Front Desk people were rude including the manager. We stayed for 5 days and 2 days they didn't give us enough towels or make our beds. The fitness room had two treadmills and an elliptical and both treadmills didn't work. If I went to Yellowknife again I would never stay at the Super 8. More

Woke up scratching in the middle of the night. I had checked for bedbugs and saw no signs, and I suppose it could have been mosquitos but some kind of flea seems most likely. Hotel is shabby in public areas and a way out of town, adjacent Tim Horton's the only good point. Spend the extra $$ and stay at... More

I recently spent 6 nights at the Super 8 in Yellowknife, NWT. I found the service to be genuinely friendly and helpful. My room was clean and modern. I especially liked having a fridge(there was a coffee maker as well, but I don't drink coffee). The Breakfast in the morning was excellent. I especially liked the fresh fruit and make... More

The Super 8 is a short drive from the airport but farther from downtown than some other hotels. Though nothing is very far away in Yellowknife. The rooms are more than adequate, well maintained and clean; despite outside temperatures between -30°C and -40°C during our stay the rooms were warm and comfortable. We were in Yellowknife to see the northern... More

I have travelled to Yellowknife several times and have stayed at many of the hotels in town. The Super 8 was by far the best of all the hotels. The staff right from check in to check out was friendly and personal. During my 4 day stay the front desk staff and the housekeeping staff made me feel welcome and... More

Didn't find the staff eager to help. After our first night, we discovered that 83 year old grandma's room didn't shut securely (all I had to do was push it a little and it opened, even though she tried locking it with the bolt). We went to the staff and they acknowledge our complaint, noted that it was an off-rent... More

Highlight of this place is Tim Horton's, which is spitting distance and Wal-Mart and Marks Work Warehouse which are just a few meters away, sprinter Usian Bolt can probably run between the three in 10 seconds flat. The front desk clerk was very friendly, genuine friendly, not this is a hotel its my job to be welcoming kid of friendly.... More

I recently travelled to Yellowknife for business. I checked into this hotel and checked out after only two nights (I was scheduled to stay for 14). When I arrived there was a broken window on the outside. Safety is a concern for me as I travel alone. The front desk staff on check in were not very helpful (although everyone... More
