I am a medical professional currently attending an international health conference in Yellowknife NWT. All hotels in town have been 100 percent booked for the past month. Due to a third parties electronic booking service my reservation did not go through for the Coast. Instead of sending me off to who knows where the general manager of the coast went... more

Just got back from my first business trip into the Northwest Territories. After a little online research, including help from the Tripadvisor website and reviews, I decided to book myself and a business colleauge in a two bedroom apartment at the Coast Fraser Tower in Yellowknife. At $224 a night, this was cheaper than booking two rooms at this, or... more

I spend a lot of time traveling to Yellowknife on business. About 3 years ago an old friend recommended this hotel because of the level of comfort and away from home completeness of the hotel. I started staying here myself then because I was tired of staying in the box like rooms offered in the other hotels. I knew this... more

I recently had the pleasure of working with the staff at the Coast Fraser Towers to host a two-day conference in their 14th floor (penthouse) meeting room, a.k.a. the Arctic Room. We had some 25 - 30 people training with us for the two days and everyone was very impressed with the Arctic Room. The catering service provided was outstanding,... more

20+ of us changed our last week of our 3 week stay in Yellowknife to the Coast Fraser Tower after a terrible experience at the Chateau Nova Suites. We all found the Fraser Tower to be very clean and professional run. Regular maid service which was really important to us. Will definitely stay here again in the future for business. more

The manager and staff were excellent - very helpful could not ask for better service. Room was very nice and CLEAN (actually it was great to go to work and come "home" and have a made bed and clean kitchen (bliss for any female)LOTS of places to store your things. Loved the fact it was an apartment - so much... more

I stayed at the Coast Fraser Tower hotel because I was attending a conference in YK (Yellowknife) June 9 - 13 2008. This is a nice hotel which used to be an apartment building. The 'rooms' are apartments with a full kitchen and living room as well as a reasonable sized bathroom (with small shampoo, lotion and soaps as well... more

Upon arrival, I encountered a good news/bad news situation. Due to overbooking, we'd been upgraded, at no extra charge, to a 14th floor penthouse suite that wasn't ready yet, and was accessible only via a flight of stairs. About an hour later we checked in to the John Franklin Suite, which had a full kitchen with a complete set of... more

We stayed here with a group of teenagers, and I would NEVER stay here again, even solo. The service was horrible! The staff were very unprofessional, and rude. There was one male front desk attendant who was very creepy. We thought he was very sketchy. Be careful. He even offered to escourt me and our girls to the Gold Range... more

The staff members were very rude in their tone and manner. The rooms were not cleaned daily. I had to call the front desk to get clean towels. I paid for poor service; will not be staying at this hotel. I recommend Super 8, Chateua Nova or Nova Court. more
