My wife and I stayed at the Yellowknife Inn for 2 nights to watch the Northern Lights. We booked the Bed and Breakfast package priced at $129 per night on the web but when we checked in, we were told that this package does not exist! However, we were given a voucher to have breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. The... more

I booked this place thinking it would be a little luxury after the long drive up. It's OK, but I never felt quite comfortable. The omnious signs behind the desk warning people of the consequences of bad behavior made me feel "funny". The renovation is good, but the elevators were still creaky. Downtown Yellowknife shuts down about 5 PM and... more

Stayed at the Yellowknife Inn for two nights in early December 2008. The room was comfortable, newly decorated and well equiped, although a bit small. Business conference facilities were adequate. My colleagues were disappointed with the staff - they did not go out of their way to help. The restaurant, located in the adjacent shopping mall, had decent food, but... more

Yes the Yellowknife Inn has taken a few hard knocks over the years but it is on track now. The lobby, rooms, and meeting rooms have all been up-graded. The restaurant has new menus with excellent food and service. Check out both the daily specials at lunch and dinner. The hotel is located in the down town core and there... more

Stayed for a week. Newly renovated and it was clean and fresh. Some reno's still ongoing but, overall a good stay. Great location in the downtown with easy access to all the sights. Would stay again. more

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel during our trip to Yellowknife for the week of the Solstice Festival in town. We were impressed with Yellowknife in a whole and the people there but did not care at all for the Yellowknife Inn. The staff was good for the little we dealt with them. Very friendly like most people... more

I certainly agree with all the reviews, I've read. The one thing it does have going for it, especially during bad wather, is that it has direct "Indoor" access to the shopping center, "Other" cafes, and government offices, should you be there to do business with them, as I was. While the suite I stayed in was nice, it definitely... more

I spent 4 days at the YK Inn and had a very pleasant stay. I arrived in Yellowknife slightly apprehensive after all the bad reviews but was greeted by very friendly staff and stayed in a clean, comfortable room with double bed and large en suite bathroom (which was far more than I was expecting). Admittedly the external building is... more

Welcome to Yellowknife but do not stay at this hotel. Well after my recent stay I could not even refer to it as a hotel. Its a building with windows and rooms with doors. There is no ambiance to this place. The very dated building is in need of alot of work. The rooms cannot even be compared to lets... more

Well, were to start with this hotel? Was not impressed with the check in considering a young boy was behind the counter occupying the attention of the clerk. I have never seen a hotel with children permitted to linger. The restaurant was filthy. The service was less than acceptable and when we asked to speak to the manager we were... more
