In YK for business and stayed for 4 nights. The owners took my reservation online and were quick with a response describing what was available and price range. When I arrived, was greeted with a smile and lots of warm welcomes. The gentleman (Gord )who was working for the owners cooked me a great breakfast every morning, had time to... More

We are heading back home after 6 nights of staying at Bayside. Debbie and John are wonderful! Breakfast is delicious (thanks Debbie!) and their common room is comfortable for relaxing and looking out onto the lake. We saw the northern lights near their backyard, and walked from their house to a lot of attractions. A great place to stay for... More

If we were to travel all the way to Yellowknife and stay in a hotel in the city we would have been very disappointed. Staying in Old Town, with the view of the lake was the highlight of our experience. We enjoyed many conversations with such interesting people at the Dancing Moose Cafe along with some great local entertainment. John... More

The folks at Dancing Moose are wonderful! The food is always great and set in a quiet location with a view it's the best place to relax and have a bite in town. Plus, they're awesome neighbours!

The breakfast was outstanding, but I would not really call this a B&B it is more along the lines of a hostel setting. It seems that their focus is on the Dancing Moose, which does have great food, but the rooms are just an addition that is neglected.

We regret that your stay was less than optimal. Thank you for your feedback. We welcome the constructive criticism, as it spurs us on to corrective action. It is true that we have been experiencing growing pains of late. As a result, there has been an over-emphasis on restaurant operations. We have taken action, however, and hired a new employee,... This is the first time we visit Yellowknife for aurora viewing. Our flight was delayed due to weather and we arrived in midnight. John checked us in with a warm welcome. The room was great. It has a lot of space, clean and quite, not to mention the great frozen lake view. The facilities in room was complete, including coffee... More

This was my 6th time in Yellowknife for work and all the major hotels were booked solid (thankfully). Spent the first week-end in outside cabin which was nice and comfortable. I moved to an inside room when one became available. The bed and breakfast felt like being at home and the breakfasts were worth it alone. In my past visits... More

On the edge of Great Slave lake you will find the gem of Yellowknife accommodations. Cozy and clean room with a friendly host. Delicious breakfast welcomes your day in quaint Old Town.

We arrived exhausted after long flights from Montreal and my wife was ready for an early sleep. But wait! Something is happening out there through those big windows overlooking Great Slave Lake. It is only just dark and a green veil is evolving to a bright luminescent series of dancing cosmic streaks! Wake up, wake up! This is truly amazing!... More
