Escape large hotels and also small hotel rooms by using Hometel. This series of 3-floor townhouses is fabulous for friends and couples travelling together. Every unit has kitchen and sitting room and modern furnishings. Daily room care is available and also a free breakfast---serve yourself. The grand thing is that every room also has its own bathroom. I couldn't have... More

Stayed on the third floor of one of the brownstones that comprise the Hometel. While the room was spacious, contempoary in style, and super quiet, the only window in the sleeping area did not open up so during an especially hot/humid couple of days in St.John's we were at the mercy of the airconditioner which was clogged with dust. Room... More

Visiting St John's for a week to attend a wedding, I had to depend on Google to find a place to stay which was convenient to all the places I intended to visit and to the relatives who were staying in other establishments. Our journey was disrupted by fog and took 48 hours, so I had to send a message... More

Very disappointed with this hotel. There were many problems namely the room we had for four nights was on the third floor (no elevator) was hard work particularly when carrying luggage. The television in the room was the old style and took three remotes before any picture showed. The window air conditioner had not been installed correctly as there was... More

Stayed here for 5 nights while attending a wedding. We rented the full unit so that we would have access to the living room and kitchen areas. The units are comprised of three bedrooms with full washrooms. If you rent the full unit you have access to the total unit, if you are just renting a single unit then the... More

Location was the best thing about this place, was able to walk to downtown as well as up to the top of Signal Hill quite easily. The service was friendly. I ended up checking in quite late due to my flight not landing in the fog earlier in the day and someone was still there when I arrived. I only... More

I was really happy that we booked this facility. The location is great; just off Signal Hill and a few blocks from Duckworth and Water Streets. We could walk through the downtown area and many restaurants and shops without having to get in the car and it's close enough to cab it if we wanted to go out for the... More

We had a premium room...nothing special. This is a hotel with a cheap continental breakfast that the desk clerk has to take care of while s/he checks people out. Ran out of food items 2 days out of 3. Advertises as a B&B but is really a hotel with 3 floors and no elevators. Advertises as Canada Select 4 stars... More

The location is good, not great, a bit off the beaten track. I have been staying there for an annual trip and the hotel has slowly gone down hill. The manager is friendly, the breakfast very good, and the room requires climbing up to the third floor on very steep stairs. Some of the furniture including the bed need replacement.

Most of the reviews here are fair but a couple are excessively harsh. We live in a newish house and they just are not built solidly anymore so I agree that the walls are very thin. Overall they try to stagger out guests so, for example, the kitchen is locked when you are renting rooms only so you don't get... More
