A warm cozy victorian manner with everything the modern traveler needs.Close to everything Historic and enteraining in St John's, convinient check in and out.Enhanced continental breakfast ,where we were joined by our gracious host ,hit the spot each morning before we ventured out on our daily adventure We will definitely stay again when we return to St John's more

We stayed at the Balmoral Inn for five nights in June. The room was a decent size - could have used a little more space but it was fine. Lovely building with period furnishings and excellent central location, yet not on a 'main drag'. Walking distance from The Rooms, downtown, George Street and pretty much everything else. "Serve yourself" breakfast... more

We just spent three nights at the Balmoral Inn, we really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful, as was our room, which was very elegant. It is centrally located in St. John's, has great parking spots, and kind hosts. The only drawback is the breakfast is very basic. No frills whatsoever. You can choose from a selection of cold... more

The Balmoral is a four room inn, conveniently located near the St. John's harbor. The accommodations are charming and very comfortable. Potential guests should be aware that this inn is not really a B&B in the sense that a warm cooked breakfast is not available. The innkeepers are not on the premises; in fact, we stayed four nights and never... more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of September after touring Newfoundland for past 10 days. Our room on the 2nd floor was large with an ensuite bathroom (shower), gas fireplace, queen bed, and comfortable seating. We did not miss not having a view of the harbour. The location was great for touring the downtown... more

I was very pleased with our choice to stay at Balmoral Inn. What a beautiful couple that are running the place. David is European and Kimberly is a Newfoundlander, they are very friendly and make you fell very welcome. There is a computer with internet access for all the guest to use in the living room which was great. As... more

Stayed a week at the Balmoral, and we were very satisfied ! We stayed in the lower kitchen apartment - -private entrance -quiet -fully equipped kitchen - reasonably priced. A 30 minute walk up to Memorial University (about the same time by the #3 bus). A couple minutes to The Rooms. 5 minutes up to Sobey's (supermarket). 5 minutes down... more

Bed and breakfast without the breakfast. Sorry but I do not consider cornflakes and toast to be a meal. The room was clean and warm but small. No internet access, but if you are willing to accept a slow connection you can just about use the WIFI network of the (cheaper) Abba Inn next door. I don't like being told... more

I stayed here while in St. John's and was very impressed withthe location and the helpfulness of David and Kimberley the owners. Most of all I appreciated the peace and tranquility of my quiet, well-appointed period -piece room which included cable connection to the Internet. Louise more
