“Anniversary Weekend”

My wife and I stayed here for our first aniversary weekend. We've stayed at several deluxe BnB locations in St John's and this one is on par with the best. We stayed in Catherine's Haven for two nights (the Fri-Sat off season rates were the best we found in the city) and the room was great. The sunken bedside soaker... more

we stayed at this facility in July of this year and although the spot was lovely we had problems with the proprietor. She and her staff were consistently unavailable to take our complete security payment for the first few days despite trying several times to contact them. We are not technically Bed & Breakfast type people but what a beautiful spot. Perfectly located to downtown. You can talk almost anywhere in under 15 minutes. The rooms were absolutely beautiful. We even had a whirlpool in our room and crystal glasses. Breakfast was wonderful...two hot choices plus cold offerings as well. Wonderful spot and truly friendly hosts. Recommend... more

The hospitality at McCoubrey Manor was truly a "down-home" feeling. Jill, Roy and their staff were friendly and very accomodating to the needs of their guests. This heritage house was recently renovated and its luxurious rooms were tastefully decorated with antique furnishings.
