We arrvied in St Johns after a long drive and tried to book a hotel at the tourism office. They called a number of hotels and we were offered "special deals" of $350 per night for a queen! We found the Spa at the Monastery ourselves and got a good deal for around $150-175 per night. All the rooms were... more

We stayed at the Spa for a city weeknight getaway. The suites are very spacious but there was no blow dryer in the room and it didn't not feel like a Canada Select 5 star rated property. The suites are new and they may be still adjusting thing. The service in the morning at the cafe/restaurant was abhorrid. 'Art' who... more

My wife and I stayed for the night in July 2009 and we were very impressed with every aspect of our stay with the exception of the restaurant.
