We have stayed there before kids, and were satisfied. However this time was not so great. The whole place needs to be cleaned and aired out, the carpets in the foyer, halls and rooms are in hard shape. This Hotel looks to be still under reno's as I know it's an older Hotel from the sixties. The lobby is nice and the staff are friendly enough. Really enjoyed the place after a couple of years away. The staff were friendly and positive and my room was renovated as was most of the common areas it seemed. I stay here as it has the only pool in Corner Brook and now business class rooms which makes it the best choice for me. more

My wife and I stayed one night in a terrible room and encountered the most unfriendly set of employees of our entire trip (12 days across Nova Scotia and Newfoundland in July 2004).
