We stayed here for two nights in September 2011, primarily because there is very little to choose from in this part of Newfoundland. It is a basic, basic motel in terms of appointments, but it was clean and the bed was hard. It smelled a little of disinfectant, but that's good. Right? The staff are lovely, charming ... everything good... More

I selected this particular motel as it is used by several of the bus tours in Newfoundland and is very close to St Barbe. The motel is a standard 3* style. Four of us were travelling together so we rented two rooms. Both rooms were basic but very clean. The beds comfortable. The motel was quiet with very little traffic... More

Stayed in one of the cottages. It has room for a family of 4. Kitchen. Large washroom. Internet..a little slow. The resturant serves good food nut one waitdress we had didn't ask us for drinks. Even after the food arrived. Maybe she was new but she seemed a little miffed that we were there. Overall. Worth the price.

The Motel lobby has been recently updated, it has a simple but elegant decor. The room was clean and comfortable, bed very comfortable. Two beds in room if I needed the second. Dining room could use a freshening up, but still nice, great view, Food was great, the seafood is prepared in a simple but very tasty manner. It was... More

I stayed at this motel for one night, it had a very bad smell and it was very dirty, the sofa was so dirty I had to put a blanket on it so I could sit. I even saw several weird bugs throughout. It will be my last stay at this motel.

Plum Point is a very useful place to stay if you want to take the ferry from nearby St Barbe to Blanc Sablon, the gateway to Labrador. It's just as good for those who (like us) had just arrived on the ferry from Labrador and didn't much fancy hanging around the rather gloomy dock area at St Barbe. The motel... More
