This will be our 4th summer to return to Rockwood Park for camping. We have a motor home and are always given the choice of a great campsite. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We usually stay for a month but end up extending it by a few weeks. We bring our dogs with us, Bogie and Kiefer, and... More

Our GPS found this park for us while traveling through the state. At the entrance we were certain the GPS was wrong as it looks like an ordinary albeit beautiful park. There are very few signs telling you how to actually get to the campground so you can imagine our surprise when we finally came to an office to register.... More

We already became suspicious upon check-in when it said „no refunds“. By the time we got to our campsite we knew what that was all about: somewhere behind the campground are railway tracks, so it is rather noisy. In addition, the campsites are fairly small with no privacy. Of course, you have to keep in mind that this campground is... More

Tent camping: The view is of oil refining plants. The noises include: 1am trains, traffic, industrial noises. The sites are tiny. TINY. The bathrooms are too small for the population. It's removed from the nice parts of the park. The Zoo is 10 minutes away via the highway. No grills. The firepits are rocks on some sites. The camper sites... More

We arrived in Saint John not knowing for sure where we would be staying. We had tried for weeks before to secure a confirmed reservation at Rockwood Park Campground and no one ever answered the phone. Left us wondering if it had opened for the season yet. With the campground being inside city limits it seemed like a convenient location... More

We camped here in late May and there were only about 10 sites that were occupied. I would say it is a 3+. The best part about it was the location - close to Saint John for a day trip (although not really much to see in the town really) - and right in Rockwood Park which is a very... More

Rockwood Park is a city park with a beautiful little lake for swimming, they also have horseback riding. We stayed here is a motorhome for two nights and really enjoyed St. Johns. The campground also had a concert in the open with two delightful gentlemen playing the electric piano and guitar. We really enjoyed our time here. It is a... More

This is a very mixed review. We had a great weekend camping. We loved it here. We had a site that backed onto the treed tenting area. We have a hardtop and young kids so we asked for a site close to the bathrooms. We were accommodated. The bathrooms were very basic but were not only freshly painted, the fixtures... More

Except for a very few sites, mostly tents, this is just a big gravel parking lot. The best things about this place- price ($140 per week) & location, it is very close to downtown St.John. Also, the people running the office are very nice & helpful. The Rockwood Park itself is very nice with lakes & walking paths, etc. It's... More
