We stayed in the honeymoon suite and were wowed by the architechture and the privacy. This boutique hotel has a New York City vibe in Moncton. The room featured a glass shower visible from the bedroom, as well as bathtub in the living room.

This was the worst experience I have ever had while travelling. At 2 in the morning a man using a key card broke into our room!! He shouldered the door several times trying to break the safety latch. We both started yelling at him, to which he replied that the computer said the room was vacant. He was obviously a... More

We stayed in the third floor overlooking the side patio. We were warned that a band would be doing an acoustic set later that evening. We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing, as was the service. By 10pm and we were both exhausted after a long day of travel and promptly fell asleep. (The first firm bed... More

The Hotel St-James is by far our favorite hotel in Moncton for our Business trip. We usualy have the same room and it is pecfect for the two of us, spacious, confortable and warm. Attached to the Hotel they have a very nice Bar / Restaurant with a large variety of beer on tap. They are serving food until 11pm... More

What a surprise! This may be the best boutique hotel in eastern Canada. And maybe further! It reminds me of a boutique hotel that I stayed in in Barcelona, only better. Greeted with a glass of red wine, I felt wanted. The room is very hip, with a modern shower that shares a glass wall with the bedroom. Only disappointment... More

My husband and I stayed on the third floor, but the live music from the bar (6 nights out of 7) begins at 11 p.m., goes until 2 a.m., and is fully audible on the top floor. For me it was Impossible to fall asleep until it ended. The room was ok (though you have to like a somewhat unusual... More

Perfect location for restaurants and nightlife. Although some complain about the noise from the bar and street below travelling through the rooms, we had zero issue on this end. We stayed on the third floor on a Friday night, and if it's a concern then third floor may be the solution. A visit to the pub below should not be... More

Drove into beautiful Moncton, New Brunswick and found that most hotels were booked solid with conferences. Stumbled across the St.James and stayed 2 nights as the hotel was so clean, elegant and comfortable. Very nice service all round and great bar/pub with superb food selection at street level.

The St. James is a great boutique hotel with all the a great features: Hardwood floor, large flat screen tv, dvd in room, cable box, upscale decor. The friendly and professional staff make staying here a joy. Some draw backs are, no picturesque view of Moncton, no on site parking (however, they do validate), no elevators (bring your muscles -... I have been wanting to try out this hotel for awhile and it did not dissapoint. The staff was helpful and the room was spacious and romantic. we were in a king suite on the second floor. We will likely stay again at some point but will stay on the third floor where the noise level is less.
